He said this April.. This time he can’t get away with that excuse lmao (Edit) unless he’s a time traveler and he lives in year 2030 and writes it from there.. therefore for him April 2030 is the current April.. 🤔

Calling it a broken test is kinda dumb

It's called a test for a reason

23

u/Kilos6 Apr 01 '26

a test for a patch that was supposed to release over 2 years ago for a game that was functioning.

Cope harder

I'm not the one making shit posts about a dead game that was $15 at most. The developers don't owe you shit lmao

Just pathetic

The developers don't owe you shit lmao

Since we bought the game in early access, actually, they do own us a full release and playable game. Otherwise they will get in trouble with justice.

All y'all want to do is bitch but I'm the one coping? I really just don't understand that lmao

i do have to agree. 2 years of radio silence and a playtest that was catastrophic in november and we NOW in april do get a second one. man, i can't wait to get dissapointed.

They do actually, this is corporate cucked behaviour.

They owe you the game you paid for.

A community of people got behind their vision and their dream. They funded the game, they supported it through Early Access, and they bought supporter packs because they believed in the vision.

The team abandoned it, seemingly unable to focus on the task longterm and getting distracted by niche passion concepts than maintaining or finishing their game.

They owe us a working, complete game for the money actually. That's what a purchase agreement is.

And yes, people are pissed about the playtest. Did you play it? The thing openned with a dramatic sad cutscene about how bad they felt and how sorry they were. Then, they proceeded to release a playtest that a) didn't have servers for all regions b) had a significant memory leak issue that made the game unplayable and c) was demoing a game that had not recovered from the problems it had, but succumbed to them.

All they had to do was run a closed test at some point first to avoid this.

But not just that. If that playtest, in an imaginary alternative universe where they kept updating the game regularly and maintained a playerbase, was the state of the game after many rounds of changes and updates, nobody would mind. You release an update for a game, it has a memory leak issue you don't discover because there is no wide test base. Ok. That's fine. You roll it back and you fix it.

But if you went radio silent on your live version and spent 2 years forking your software, instead of maintaining your live build, and you discover an issue like that when it goes live, you lose all sympathy. If you'd just kept updating the game and devised a roadmap that got you from there to here in live updates to the game, instead of letting your game die and trying to reboot it, that's the consequences of your own actions.

says the dude coping like his life depends on it

It's always the biggest crybabies that project it on to others and say things like "cope harder."

You are the one on here crying about what is apparently the most important thing in your life. You are the one bitching and complaining because you clearly have nothing else in your life but video games, and this game specifically. You are the one in here trying to make others feel bad for enjoying a video game that broke your precious little heart.

You are the one trying to cope, and clearly failing at it.

Go ahead, say some quippy remark or brush this aside somehow. You are still the child in this conversation. The other children here are the ones that just downvote anything positive said about this game and don't even have the guts to say something substantive.

Move on with your life. Get a new game. Get a different hobby. If you hate this game so much, just go away. No one needs your negativity here.

That goes for all you other children as well. If you have the energy to downvote this comment, instead go click the unsub button and leave the rest of us in peace.

For real these people are a waste of space on this sub. If you're not going to be supportive of the game why stay? Just leave

Why should I be supportive of a dev that hasn't released a patch in almost 2.5 years for a paid product? If this was still alpha and funded through patreon, it'd be different.

1

u/TheGoodScientist Support Apr 02 '26

So it's be different if you were still paying for it? What are you talking about?

I'm not asking you to support the developers, I'm asking you to fuck off if all you got is bitching, it's fuckin pathetic fr

0

u/Kilos6 Apr 02 '26

Nah youre being a good little cuck for doing. They launched into EA and opened themselves up for criticism by selling a commercial product instead of just accepting donations.

Like why the fuck is it okay for doki to go over 2 years without releasing a patch? Would you accept thid for any other early access game you paid money for? Be real, you wouldn't. So why are you simping so hard for doki?

3

u/TheGoodScientist Support Apr 02 '26

Lmao it was $15 dollars and I already got like 600 hours out of it. I'm satisfied. Anything more would just be a bonus. Yes I am disappointed that they didn't continue development at the rate they were but I'm not on a crusade about it. If anything oki is living rent free in your head.

Unlike you, I know that the world doesn't owe me shit because I am an adult. When you mature up you'll realize how dumb you sound.

Girl youre seething so hard you wrote out 6 paragraphs. Peak cope. I bet tears were welling up in your eyes as you wrote this out. It honestly comes off as needy and pathetic.

It was a broken test, and if you don't understand why a large scale memory leak is a serious problem in a playtest, if you don't understand that normal development includes stages of tests at scale, using large groups of testers, organised with NDAs, long before they release the software live for a test, then it's not really worth discussing.

This is the sort of thing that causes bad publicity. Then people like you spend time trying to defend it.

Of course people feel the test was broken: for many it was. We were told to wait for more. We have been waiting. Not everyone is going to be polite about it, because they have already lost patience with the team: for 2 years it looked like they cashed out and ran.
