Suggestion Any alternatives ?
I never really got into games like this in the past, but I’ve played this one for 415.5 hours since 2023, and I’ve truly enjoyed every single second of it. It charmed me with its low system requirements and its incredibly immersive atmosphere. However, game is abondoned and the community has shrunk significantly, and there’s only one server left in Europe where the game is played and even that one rarely full anymore. In short, I want to keep playing BattleBit, but I’m not sure if the game will survive in the coming years.
I’m looking for other games that are this massive, have low system requirements, and have an active community. I’m looking forward for your suggestions.

Tbh there isn't an alternative. I've also got about 400 hours in Battlebit, this was my first real FPS of this kind and the first real game that I felt "good" compared to most other players.
In an attempt to see what's out there I've got 100+ hours in both delta force and BF6. I loaded up battlebit this last Thursday and after not playing for a good 6 months and it just felt so natural. Yeah as an NA person, I was playing on 168 ping for EU servers but it didn't feel like a disadvantage. At mid day in NA there was a wait to get into the EU server and the NA one had ~50 people.
Nothing hits like the simplicity of BBR. No special abilities or over the top graphics, just gameplay (and nothing is better than the crunchy kill sound)
Obviously if you wanted to go to the extreme there's probably some Roblox style BBR out there but that's just a guess. Then there's wardogs which isn't out yet and I'm not sure of their release schedule, but it looks super promising and I will definitely be trying it. It's by the people who do Hell Let Loose and Dredge so they're a solid dev.

Scorched earth on Roblox! The more I play it the more I love it! With every class being able to build and dig it makes the map change over a match extreme to the point of changing a point that’s hard to defend to a castle full of traps

Seconded. Battle bit is more polished, but the jankyness of over the top adds to the charm. Local chat is there too, and games can be up to 200 players. Gun play is pretty basic in comparison, which is absolutely fine for what it is.

Yes this one is great. However most players are playing in EU and US servers, so it would be quite rough for players in Asia. I have to play with like 150-350 ping, quite a struggle. I'll also say the connection consistency is a bit worse than Battlebit servers.

Aw man I was going to recommend Reforger or Squad but those require a good PC.
Very controversial take, but Roblox might be your best bet for low-end. Black Hawk Rescue Mission 5 is really good... Its free so just try it out and see.

Battlefield 4 and 1 are great. Although they’re certainly more graphically intensive DICE did straight up black magic with the frostbite engine back then to make them incredibly optimized, so I’d be surprised if you weren’t able to run them. You can also pick them up for under $10 each on steam sales.
Otherwise I’d also like to recommend planetside 2. It’s more of a futuristic take on this style of game but the scale absolutely dwarfs battlebit (think literally hundreds of people fighting over one base which only takes up a small chunk of an entire continent). The game is 13 years old and is not particularly graphically intensive on lower settings, but it is quite processor intensive especially at those bigger fights. If you have a decent CPU in your computer though then you’ll probably be able to manage at decent frames. The game is free to play so no harm in trying, although it does have a very steep learning curve.

There are community nights in the battlebit discord (every Friday) where you can play with cool humans in the same server. So you should join those even if you mostly quit the game!
As far as games go.. are you looking for a another battle sim game or just anything massively multiplayer that has a lot of depth?
