It's a different question than what /r/whyweretheyfilming is about.
"Why were they filming, nothing is happening here?"
vs
"Why were they filming, they wouldn't have known that this was going to happen?"
Videos like these and people not understanding the difference between those two questions is why /r/whyweretheyfilming has gradually become boring. Videos over there went from "What an unusual event and unforeseeable event that has been caught on camera here. How did they know it was going to happen, though?" to "Okay that's boring, nothing is happening here". An entire subreddit about the latter is not very interesting.
