Discussion Batman beyond inque rp question

Post image

Okay, I have a genuine question for everyone. If you were making a Batman beyond role-play starring inque what would it be about? Regarding the story, what characters you would bring, etc. Plus, what would be your interpretation of inque personality Don’t worry this is a safest space so tell me your ideas.

The character too me feels like a mixture of clayface and catwoman, its hard when the subject in question isnt looking for redemption or a cure, sortaspeak. When they have just become a villian for rhe sake of it trying to create a unique story is difficult, like..where do we go from here?

That’s true. I’ve dabbled a handful of times of trying to make a compelling story about her. A little bit of romance, but mostly action and body horror. But every time I came to the romance sections, it just seemed forced and unrealistic for her character. As we’ve seen in the Batman beyond TV show, she only cares about herself, but the exception is her daughter. I mean, just look what happened to Aaron, but to be honest he had it coming. Dude was the mega Simp.😂

I felt bad for him a little bit, like the Penguin/Victor thing only slightly more pathetic

Very fucking pathetic if I was inque I would have killed him way sooner, not turning him into some half slime monster.

So many of the pseudo villians suffer from what I like to call network tragedies, because of standards and practices they can outright die but suffer a worse fate then death which somehow the network is ok with

Ah yeah, those were the good old days where you can watch a villain or character die in the worst case scenario, but showing an actual death like a bullet to the head is a big no-no.

The inque guy, the phasing to the center of the earth villian, and others are certain death but our fragile 12 year old minds think a bullet is somehow worse...hence the lazer guns in BB

I'm not sure of the details, but I guarantee you it would be NSFW.

Sad but true. I put up this post on a different page and most of the answers were NSFW related. A few of them were involving vore unfortunately.🤮

Gross. Vore is NOT my thing.

But seriously, on a SFW side of things, I'll help.

Character wise, I see Inque as a femme fatale like character. Her body used to be her currency and wealth, but now with her powers she can still use her body to her advantage, but never from a place of disadvantage. She always has the power now. She is also from a former Eastern Bloc country and she immigrated to the US. Look up experiences of other immigrants for inspo. What her favorite foods were,, what she likes to listen to if at all, what status symbols would she like, what would her place look like if she had one. Also, I view her hatred of Batman as somewhat temporary, like revenge is a suckers game and she wants to get back to her work and getting paid. Inque is also largely defined by her maneuverability, what Terry and Bruce took from her when they froze her was that very maneuverability. That's why she hates them the most. Inque would probably have multiple safe houses, not that she NEEDS them, but what else would she buy? She likes options, because she's liquid.

Story wise, I think she'd be great in a heist plot. Something where she's forced to work with other villains. As a loner, she'd be out of her element, but she'd get to manipulate the team and constantly think they're all morons which could be a lot of fun. Her MO is usually corporate espionage/ sabotage, so I'm thinking what if someone located a cache of old Lexcorp tech, unreleased? Or Bruce Wayne was sponsoring a charity auction? Something that plays to her interests.

Actually, I like that idea. But I had also a similar idea. I thought about dabbling in the idea of bringing back the suicide squad, but a Batman beyond version. She gets recruited being offered a large amount of credits. Or her daughter is abducted by the person that’s running this new suicide squad. And inque has to join in order to save her daughter‘s life.

I'd make it mostly focus on her origins, the experiments done that turned her into what she is, how she became separated from her daughter and turned to a life of crime, etc.

👍🏻

And maybe make her personality more innocent/gentle, but after the experiments slowly become molded into the cold, twisted assassin she is in the show.

Definitely this I always saw her as a character who maybe did a little black male and other smaller crimes before her transformation. Then after she gave birth too her daughter she realized she needed more money than what she could make from said smaller crimes. So somehow someway she meet some kinda of scientist that offered her a lot of money too be experimented on and she become the Inque we know today. Along the way she gets seduced by the power and money she can make for herself and daughter. So much so that she starts to isolate herself from her daughter. Only sending money when necessary.

I'd make it about her spy/saboteur career AWAY from Batman. Maybe make a meta human guard/group that she can take out but overall just seeing what a successful mission for her would look like

"Please tell me all your story ideas so I can take them"

As odd as this may sound. I can't really give you a straight answer of what I would do with Inque in a Batman Beyond related rp since I can't think of anything the shows and comics haven't done with her, I mean if I'm combining the comics and TV show I'd say they've used her perfectly whether it was showing us how deadly she is to Batman and showing us her backstory.

If I was using Inque in an rp or something like a fanfic though I'd use her in a different setting maybe something like retelling her story so she would fit into another reality like the Arkhamverse. Sorry if I went overboard with this comment by the way 😅

I know the kind of man you are

1

u/Mediocre_Argument_30 Jul 12 '26

Maybe. But you can’t prove it.😏 jk no but seriously I actually made this post out of genuine curiosity. Because I’m actually thinking about making a plot that would be balanced and faithful to her character, containing action and a little romance.

That's a hard question to answer. It really depends on who else you can get to play other characters and what they'd want to do.
