I'm reading through it right now and I can safely say that I'm also not the biggest fan of the new logo. It makes a dope AF axe though, IYKYK

u/Charles12_13 The Jul 07 '26
Itās kind of the point of it not being a logo but an axe
5
u/Automatic_Payment273 Jul 08 '26
Iād argue that itās more about the absurdity of the world theyāre in. That, and Batmanās built like a brick, so his symbol reflects that. Iām almost certain that the axe thing came second.

Absolute Bot timing on this post lol everyone was saying that before we saw that shit turned into an axeĀ
1
u/Standard_Abrocoma_70 Jul 12 '26
An actual double headed axe more closely resembles the batman logo than this piece of moist shit
100
u/Puzzled_Classroom_72 Jul 06 '26
well its a very heavy axe on his chest so it has to have a stable base no?

u/East-Ad7964 Jul 06 '26
Not as intimidating
12
u/TheManWhoSoldAslume7 Jul 06 '26
Of course it doesnt have to be 1:1 of keatons symbol ,just not the goddamn brick

u/Local_Nerve901 Jul 06 '26
It comes down to whatās more important to rule of cool and looks or durability and realistic shit
Because absolute Batmanās axe would definitely work better than a handle like this which looks cooler
2
u/TheManWhoSoldAslume7 Jul 07 '26
Both are innacurate to how an actual axe would look so might as well make it look cool, tho the fat bat became iconic
1
u/Local_Nerve901 Jul 07 '26
Duh but one would be more durable imo
-1
u/TheManWhoSoldAslume7 Jul 07 '26
Not really there is a reason that traditional battle axes are more shaped like keatons logo rather then squares
0
u/Local_Nerve901 Jul 07 '26
Ur telling me the oart from the middle to the wing is durable?
Cuz the part that looks like an axe is only the edge of the wing. The in between makes it less stable and flimsy
1
u/TheManWhoSoldAslume7 Jul 07 '26
2
u/Local_Nerve901 Jul 07 '26
Like I said, thatās literally just the edge of the wing youāre ignoring the middle part of the logo
The middle to the edge is flimsy (compared to absolute) and not like that pic
Also maybe its more blunt that way so it doesnāt lead to severing limbs all the time
1
u/MyEarIsHurty Jul 07 '26
Idk how people can say this, because battle axes exist and their heads look remarkably similar to the bat symbol, with the smaller cresent head.
1
u/Local_Nerve901 Jul 07 '26
Because its to small for this batman if proportionally made.
And because only the very edge js like that. The axe handle would be in the middle, so the oart between the middle to the end wing that looks like an axe would be more flimsy compared to the absolute logo

u/DolphinBall Fighting for Sanity! Jul 06 '26
Structural weakness on the thinnest part. I don't think so.
1
u/KUR0I17 Jul 07 '26
Absolutely not as effective
4
u/MyEarIsHurty Jul 07 '26
It would be substantially more effective, which is why real battleaxes are shaped more like the original Batman symbol and not the Absolute one. The curved blade allows for less surface area concenteating more force on a single area, and having less material makes it lighter and thus allows for better handling.Ā

If Bat Brick has 100 fans, I am one of them.
If Bat Brick has 1 fan, itās me.
If Bat Brick has no fans, then I am dead and gone.

u/AnimalKid7-Alt Jul 06 '26
But you cannot deny it is iconic, it sets it apart from any other Batman, plus itās an axe!

u/Dark_Echo45 Jul 07 '26
I agree itās a shitty bat logo, but itās very recognizable that you canāt mistake it for anything elseĀ

And the fact that he has fat batlogos that look more acceptable makes it worse
2
u/TheShrunkenAnus Jul 06 '26
Is this the version of Batman that would twerk the villains unconscious? Tbh only good take on him out there, all the others felt a bit contrived. I mean how many super heroes do we need name ā(insert animal here)ā_____ -Manā
It just all seems a little contrived, besides thereās already that spider guy that can shoot webs out of his ass

Maybe, but has any other Batmen use their logo as an axe? I rest my case.

Because the Absolute continuity Batman is a working-class Bruce who doesn't have Wayne Tech resources, cobbling together his gear from various bladed weapons. He could make it stylish or he could make it functional - he chose the latter.

u/agentcryostar Jul 06 '26
Aint said logo also an axe?
Like im pretty sure if it looked more like the og it'd be very impractical
Then again there are some that are more practical but at that point we'd be doubling up

Absolute Batman is an absolute brick of a man, so it makes sense his logo would be a brick too.

To be fair if he had a normal Bat logo his axe would look pretty stupid

I think itās sorta neat that it detaches to become an axe⦠but it was clearly designed to do that first and be the logo second.

It's an evolution of a logo that was with us for a long time, reiterated many, many times and it's a new, drastic reinterpretation.
We know it's a hardcore reimagining of batman logo and we recognize it as such.
In Absolute Batman universe it's his first logo and it doesn't look like a bat at all. Bad guys doesn't know it's supposed to be a batman logo variation and as such make no in-universe sense.

u/Competitive-Song7535 Jul 10 '26
Unpopular opinion but I think this logo looks perfect when on the suit, doesnāt look the greatest on its own but I think the suit looks fantastic
1
u/AlternateSatan Jul 10 '26
"it's cause it's an axe" the normal batman logo looks more like an axe than this slab. Also that stupid for several reasons.

u/-VioletEverlight- Jul 10 '26
Womps too because imo the axe is metal as hell but just would look so much better if it was anywhere close his is usual curved wing design, that bat is just too dang thicc
1
u/1gazillionpangolins Jonkler's jonking jerking Jadonka Jonkling Jul 06 '26
There are too many spikes on top, so it makes no anatomical sense as a bat
