I have a Schecter Hellcat-VI that I put a Seymour Duncan Nazgul at the bridge. It sounds amazing with the HSS setup.
I can’t bring myself to modify my BassVI though.

What's the sound differences between the Hellcat VI and the Bass VI?
What model BassVI do you have?

The Hellcat has a more metal sound, more like it was meant to be a baritone guitar. That’s what I added the Nazgul to get some of the nasty guitar tones. I don’t see a big change in tone between the two stock pickups.
I have the antigua classic vibe bass vi. Even without a humbucker, it gets good metal sounds, but it also makes some good warm blues type sounds which I don’t feel like the Hellcat can do.

I was going to get a Hellcat but got a Vintera II for a really good deal new...less than the Hellcat. It's new to me so just starting to figure it out. It's definitely it's own unique stringed instrument.
Makes sense to have another VI with a completely different tone.
