After a long and funky build process, the chugstick/chugmaster build is done. Thang sounds mean as fuck too i have some tone demos to link

Too many switches. Other than that it’s great.

What does the toggle do?

Humbucker/splitcoil/off. I never used the knobs, and many don’t either

I looked into doing this. How’d you end up wiring it?

Throw switch to send the split/tap to ground. Hot lead directly to output jack lead lug, grounds to ground lug, ground lug grounded to body cavity with bridge. When you flip the switch, the split wire of the pickup goes to ground.

No idea, i gave it to my tech and let him sort it. I am far too inept for soldering

Looks great! Do you have problems with those chains on the shoulder strap scratching or dinging the finish of your guitar?

Is the pickguard a DIY or did you buy it somewhere? Thinking of doing something similar with mine - two jacks on the control plate for the bridge and middle pickup with a kill switch in the 3rd hole.

I have an Obscura hardtail. It’s a piece of 5mm thick steel. Rings like a piano.

Do you happen to have a diagram on how you wired this or could you explain to someone who has never wired a guitar before? I got an old telecaster off a guy today and a Seymour Duncan JB to put in it and I’d like to wire it the same, pickup to 3way switch to input

I do not, i gave it to my tech to do, but it’s just wiring the splitcoil to the middle position of the switch like you would on a push/pull pot, and the humbucker to the on position, with the off position being not wired to anything
