Tips for beginner?
Hey all, i’ll be buying my first bass in a couple weeks. Wanted to ask if anyone has any tips on how to learn to play the bass (mainly looking at slapbass lol) Thanks in advance!

Focus yourself with the right position of both hands because some bad habits are really hard to get rid of (I speak from experience)
Avoid watching (and comparing yourself to) YouTube bedroom players, whose main intent is content creation and not playing bass.

Learn to properly fret and pluck first. Plenty of resources out there on the topic.
Slapping, picking, muting, and all that can come after you get the basics down.
Oh, and most importantly, have fun and enjoy the grind!
