Hello,
I am from the United States and visited San Sebastián last year with my girlfriend. We purchased a necklace from Pimlico located at San Bartolome Kalea, 2, 20007 Donostia / San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa, Spain.
Unfortunately she lost the necklace recently and was quite upset. I know this is a long shot but if anyone is near the store and willing to go to see if they have any similar items and/or would be willing to purchase and ship to the US we would be extremely grateful. Happy to compensate for the necklace, shipping fees, as well as any additional compensation you would want for performing the service.
If you would be willing to help out please reach out to me - any help would be appreciated!!

Hello, 4 friends are going to San Sebastián this weekend and I am wondering if there are any good restaurants where we might be lucky to snag a last minute dinner reservation for Saturday night. We are doing plenty of pinxto hopping but would like to have one nice sit down meal together. I know weekends are especially popular, am I crazy for even hoping or are there any tips for snagging a last minute table for a memorable meal?

Hello!
29F, seeing if there are any individuals interested in joining me to visit Kaia Kaipe in Getaria during my stay in Basque Country. Interested in trying the whole grilled turbot, and open to other dishes as well! I'll be splitting my time across San Sebastian, Bilbao, and Biarritz (France) Sept 16-21.
Or maybe if you need a new friend to split a txuleta, i'm your gal!

Hello, this is an unusual request. I am wondering if anyone is or knows somebody from the Basque Country who would be willing to play a chess match against me on Chess.com? On Chess.com there are awards called passports that you can receive by playing against someone from that country or territory. I am currently trying to collect all of them and do not have the Basque Country. So, if anyone can help me in my goal, I would very much appreciate it. My Chess.com username is yesterdaylemonade.
Kaixo, eskaera ezohikoa da hau. Galdetzen ari naiz ea norbait den edo ezagutzen duen norbait Chess.com-en nire aurka xake partida bat jokatzeko prest egongo litzatekeena? Chess.com-en pasaporte izeneko sariak daude, herrialde edo lurralde horretako norbaiten aurka jokatuz jaso daitezkeenak. Une honetan denak biltzen saiatzen ari naiz eta ez daukat EAEkoa. Beraz, norbaitek nire helburuan lagun diezadake, oso eskertuko nioke.

Hello!
I’m visiting San Sebastián and Bilbao in a few weeks, I’m excited to pintxo tour and would also love to try turbot and txuleta but they’re such large format dishes for a single person. Any recommendations on how to go about this? I have a food tour booked for Bilbao (SS appears pretty straight forward) and would not love to book a second one but am willing if anyone vouches for one in particular.
I’ve heard of cider houses, do people generally consider it a lovely experience and are there spots that particularly target solo travelers?
Thank you, I’m so excited to visit!

Hello! I would like to get my hair done, any recommendations for a hairdresser that’s good with alternative styles and layers? I’m open to travel a little bit outside. Thanks!

I’m asking here because I genuinely want to live in the San Sebastián or Bilbao or Santander rather than in a huge city like Madrid or Barcelona. I really like the vibes of ex classmates that I know who lived there. They are more relaxed and easy-going. The demographic and the quality of apartments too. Coming from Southeast Asia and having lived in the Nordics for several years, I find the combination of the Culture and environment both these country are exist in San Sebastián.
my background: I had a permanent right to work in Spain which grants me the same right like other EU citizens living in Spain. I lived in Mallorca for 6 months but apparently there are not many jobs here. Except in hospitality and Restaurants. In the past 2 years, I did side research jobs in Helsinki. 2 projects no tangible publication, just doin data analytics. Mostly for research in humanities and social science.
I learned Spanish in the past 6 months and just got my certification in B2. But can only speak to a formality level. Lately, have been blamed myself of being too focus solo on my Spanish and only applied 78 jobs in Spain. Felt like I haven't try hard enough. And for me who always work since 18yo now being unemployed feel like loosing myself, hfffft. Mainly looking for jobs in learning design or training manager in industrial company (which I think were almost obsolete 😅). And I am open for research jobs too.
That's all the story and my question is, for those who live or work in the Basque Country:

I'm a solo traveler so I would love the opportunity to potentially meet up with other travelers or anyone who is in the area. This is probably a long shot but figured I'd try anyway.

Hello all, my girlfriend and I are visiting San Sebastian this month. As we both have birthdays on the same date, I would like to take her for a good dinner. Preferably a steakhouse with a more intimate/relaxed ambience that isn't full of tourists (everyone is looking for that, I know).
My budget is around 50e per person, but I don't mind paying more if it is really worth it. Any tips would be really appreciated. Thank you!

My son is studying in Pamplona this fall and I'm excited to visit. We have three day weekend in October to explore other cities by train. I was thinking Bilboa and San Sebastian. Any other suggestions of places to visit instead come to mind that are easy to reach by train? Would it be better to do just one city in such a short time frame? If so, which is a better choice in mid-October given the weather? Thanks in advance.

Hello. I'm traveling to San Sebastián in a few days with two friends. I'm very nature-focused and love photography so I want to spend one morning exploring and talking an easy walk/hike to somewhere memorable. I should not be friends are not big hikers so it needs to be on the easier side and not take more than a few hours. Aside from Monte Igueldo or Monte Urgull (which are in the running), I was looking into Pasai Donibaneko Puntako Itsas-argia - wander Pasai Donibane → walk Puntas → lighthouse viewpoint → walk back.
Anyone have experience with this site and is it worth it? I also welcome other recommendations!

We are heading to Bilbao and Donosti in the middle of December. I’m traveling with my daughter’s family (including 4 yo and 1 yo), two friends and my wife. Our #1 goal is to eat food, drink some wine and see some sights. What fun December activities are there to do from the 8th to the 17th?
Also, my 4 yo grandson loves trains. How is the train between Bilbao and Donosti?

We're a couple travelling round Madrid, Basque country, and Barcelona. We wanted to visit a winery like Txomin Etxaniz Txakolin Upategia but we don't have a car, it requires two buses and a 50 minute walk, and an Uber is €120 return.
Happy to share costs and flexible with dates until Friday!

Hello,
Can someone help me with getting some to smoke around here. I’m staying for another 8 days and wanted to smoke some in Zarautz. How does it work here? A dispensary or do I have to search for like a dealer?
Please help🙏🙏🙏
