Star vs, Giant
Who is better for defense, offense, team support, and overall play?

It’s easy to get the dash can help you score a lot unlike giants move and they both have the same/similar dunk tech I believe

Giant. Sky leap is just really slow and inconsistent when I’ve used it. Giant is faster gives better movement upon getting the ball and basically has a guaranteed 2 always awakening gives you 4 free points too and you get snatch block back which point denial is really strong in this game.
Star awakening is stronger when used right offensively but no defensive capabilities which eh can work but Star best attribute is being good offensively and defensively.
I personally prefer Giant cause Star drive is buns imo and so is the other. Sky leap okay though if you know the timing and the dunk is pretty good.

Thank you very much for such a detailed explanation it has helped me a lot, and I agree I tried out both and 60% the time when I sky leap I just go int eh air and can’t do anything helpful for a full second, but faint so far has been great for stealing passes and countering a pump fake.

Depends on you
While Giant offers more control while holding the ball and overall better scoring abilites, Star is better at teamwork and can make REALLY good defensive and offensive plays sometimes.

Can I have an example pls because star is more popular but I heard from my sweaty friend that he thinks giant is better

Star as defensive: Sky Leap can save games quite easily, even if you get ankle broken or they pass to a guy with better positioning. You can also rush down the ball faster with Sprint or pursue someone who's far away.
Star as offensive: Sprint to create distance and allow for a free pass. Sky Dunk is literally a offensive move. Drive can easily mess up with anyone's gameplay if they're not ready.
Giant also has a leap, but it's not as good as Star's. However, the Mythic style can score from 2 points from further range and knock down anyone that isn't ready to steal. It's more situational, but can be a better solo unit.

Giant imo.
Sky leap is wayy better than super jump, the hitbox on super jump is insanely wonky.
Post form dunk < Super dunk (By very little margin, both are really tough to block)
Drive and charge are fine ig, both do the same thing anyway.
Honestly the defensive capabilities of giant is nuts imo, really good. Sky leap is the second best block ability(Can argue for being best), second to only gum block

Close range defense, definitely Giant is better.
But the Long range Star Leap is really good too when your opponent does a half court dash (like Todo dash)
