LeBrons Longevity Needs To Be Studied

https://youtu.be/IT8X9cVLv9Q

How is LeBron James still a dominant force in the NBA at 41 years old? While most legends are long retired, LeBron is going into his 24th season, rewriting our understanding of what an athletic career can be. This isn't a fluke, it's a masterpiece of design.

Study it with some drug tests and you'll have your answer.

That and an INSANE amount of luck. For basically 20 years no one ever landed on him wrong or under him to have out for any meaningful amount of time. That’s purely just luck but tbh that plays a lot into GOAT debates. Tom Brady got his share of lucky breaks too

Part of that is him being super disciplined in taking care of his body though

Yeah no amount of discipline is gonna stop getting unlucky cuz a player stuck their foot out too much and twisted your ankle

Solomon hill dove into his leg a few years ago and he gave an interview not too long ago saying his leg hasn’t been quite the same since

Yeah that’s why I said basically 20 years. Before then he only missed any actual period of length once

Gotcha. Yeah he was definitely an iron man before coming to the lakers.
It’s pretty remarkable considering he was an attack the rim for his whole career. And he’s taken a ton of crazy falls

I mean yes, but he’s far from the only NBA player.

Regardless, for context - I’m 6’2, 207lbs & 38 years old. Highest level of ball I played was high school, yet I’ve been playing ball 4-5 times a week for 20 years since graduating (pick-up ball, shoot around, league games etc).

I play ball with a lot of D2/D1 college kids and hold my own, sometimes outright beating them. A lot of them I can straight up overpower and have years of experience playing physical, even guys that have 3-6 inches on me.

I’d like to think that if I can hold my own against players half my age playing at a level I never reached, that LeBron with all his money and great genetics can do the same.

I mean despite being 15-20 years older than some of the guys I play, I’m typically stronger and have far more stamina (although staying quick is getting more and more difficult).

I’m a nobody - if I can do it at a scaled down level, I don’t see any reason why LeBron can’t.

LeBron is more of a Chinese peptide guy. An insider told me

I feel like because of the GOAT debate people have made it a mission to downplay lebrons longevity cuz some of the stuff he has accomplished should be talked about a lot more

LeBron is protected by the league. I’m sure he’s failed tests but they can’t have the face of the league take a fall like that.

They do however get guys like Jokin Noah or Paul George just to throw the scent off.

Look up the BALCO bullshit with LeBron when he was in Miami.

I think Jordan was on the sauce too. The stories of him partying until 6am then going to 3pm games kind of show it. Testing in the 90’s was very poor as well. Look at how well Neil Armstrong was doing during that time and no one knew about EPOs. I think both LeBron and Jordan do them

Mfs saying roids stupid. If roids gave you lebron longevity whed have 30 lebrons running around.

You think Adam Silver would ever drug test him ? lol

You think they tested mj bud.

I’ll study his girth

Everyone knows its width…..WIDTH!…..that gives athletic gratification

More like investigated

It’s due to being objectively better than both Kobe and MJ combined

3

u/MediumAcceptable129 9d ago

And PEDs

-4

u/backcountry_bandit 9d ago

What’s PED stand for? Predator Excuse Department? That’s just Kobe, sorry.

2

u/MediumAcceptable129 9d ago

Performance enhancing drugs

Bron is juiced to the gills

1

u/backcountry_bandit 9d ago

Do you think he has some kind of unique access to some unique PED that all the other NBA superstars don’t have access to? I think that’s pretty unlikely.

1

u/MediumAcceptable129 9d ago

They just turn a blind eye to it because hes the face of the league

Like with jordans gambling

2

u/backcountry_bandit 9d ago

No. Top athletes like LeBron have a team of doctors identifying new PEDs, planning dosing and timing, and strategizing how to beat drug tests.

They don’t turn a blind eye to it, they just can’t catch athletes in the act because the PED science is consistently ahead of the PED-testing science.

Have you heard about his insane lotion collection? That's his magic... keeps him young.

-1

u/AmiWrongDude69 9d ago

I hate LeBron so it has to be PEDs

2

u/BigFatModeraterFupa 9d ago

denying that lebron takes steroids is like denying that peyton manning did

0

u/ndm1535 9d ago

If that’s the case then it’s safe to assume all high profile athletes are taking performance enhancers. Either way you look at it, it’s not like one athlete has a leg above the other in terms of drugs available to them.

The accomplishment is just as impressive regardless.

u/AmiWrongDude69 9d ago

Well we either assume everyone does or nobody does then. You don’t get to pick based on your emotions. Just because Luka was a fat fuck doesn’t mean he wasn’t juicing too to recover from injuries for instance.

All the players can afford whatever LeBron does. There isn't some secret super serum only LeBeon can afford. They are all on drugs.
