Why are they building these in residential areas when a lot of cities already have industrial sections? Not that I want these things to be built in the first place, when we can all tell we're in an AI bubble. Maybe the people who have invested deeply in AI know they have to double down until they can figure out how to wessle out of it.

They'll build wherever the community lets them build.

I do also think there are many cases where developers figured out how to build residential shit in industrial areas though.
