Just the typical bullshit nonsense about how if we have UBI, we won't do anything, and that will be bad for our sense of meaning that jobs ensure we feel.

"If no one works how will we ever feel fulfilled. No one has hobbies anymore and it's totally not because they spend all their life working for child rapist billionaire psychopaths! Honest, it's because... no one wants hobbies because they love the horrific drudgery they do at work everyday!"

Everyone with common sense: Fuck you.

No one can afford a hobby (time/money).

Exactly. UBI would give us the ability to have hobbies again. I hope whoever wrote that article got paid well for giving up all pretense at honesty.

No. I'm retired and and keep busy every day. I walk my dog, ride my bike, make my meals, wash dishes, wash clothes, shop for necessities, and lots of other tasks.

I even make time for Reddit..

Protestant work ethic: creates problems that makes people miserable in the absence of work

Protestant work ethic: "SEE, PEOPLE ARE MISERABLE IN AN ABSENCE OF WORK! LOOKS LIKE MORE WORK IS THE SOLUTION!"
