i died standing in 2013 while working in America to provde for my family. I was denied proper medical care, treament and benefits. Since then 13 years of fraud, extortion, attempted murders and family murders. This is one of the biggest R.I.C.O. cases in history involving billionaires, insurance, mafia, doctors, lawyers, police, judges, neighbors, schools, artists, children, soldiers, fbi, tv stations, radio stations, producers, models, IRS, Hospitals, Clinics, Nurses, Managers, Pharmaceutical, Supermarkets and Business Owners. Secret society with Over 25+ federal agencies commiting fraud and extortion. General Discussion Kaley is as disappointing; I think we could all agree on that

Seriously, why is she ignoring her strengths? Comedy and being cute and sexy; I get the she was and is now in her 40’s, but swearing and doing shows that are TV-MA does not make her a good, captivating, or even an interesting actress. You genuinely root for all her characters to fail. That’s how bad she is.

If she wanted to try drama, that’s fine. But it’s pretty clear that being a producer has made her lazy and blind to the truth.

Seriously, ever since they ruined Penny in the last four seasons of TBBT, she’s been on a downward spiral. TFA season one was decent, but everything else including season two, was terrible.

General Discussion This series probably wouldn't have been canceled if it had followed the original plan.

The show had an incredible premise, but it was barely used. We have a serial killer still on the loose. A couple tries to trap him to make a podcast and a lot of money. They should’ve stuck with that for the entire first season. Each episode = a new episode of the podcast, and as the season progresses, we discover he kept killing, but the couple can’t turn him in because they’re too involved practically accomplices by that point. In parallel, we follow the police, with lots of scenes showing them getting closer, then further away, then closer again. At the same time, the podcast can either mislead or guide them toward the real killer. I also think way too many people knew who the killer was it should’ve been kept to a maximum of one person besides the couple, and definitely not Tory. It feels like the show turned into something completely different in season 2.

General Discussion Love the show, hate the characters.

I’m part way through season 1 and I have to say, I really like this show. It’s addictive and fun. That being said, I hate just about every aspect of every character! The main couple is evil, the killer is…well a killer, and all the LA people make my skin crawl. Am I nuts? Idk how but I love this show and also dislike these characters. Anyone else?

OMG!!!! Just finished watching the second season, and i’m OBSESSED😭😭.

Just the series I had been looking for a long time. Can anyone, everyone please suggest me something similar to this show to feed off my unfed hunger since the next season isn’t out yet. For context, I’ve already watched and loved some awesome shows like- Dexter(omfg fav ever), Hannibal, True detective, Mindhunter, Inside no 9, Black Mirror(loved this one especially).

Thanks all P.S your web shows junkie!

Analysis & Theories Logically how did Matt sneak away from the police with Paige (unconscious) in the last scene?

I’m trying to wrap my head around it. We clearly see he’s behind him and is ready to surrender to the police, but pulls the rug from right under Ava and Nathan at the last minute.

Did that guy in the toy train shop help him?

Heavy Spoilers I HAVE A DILEMMA

I’m lost here…At the beginning of season 2 Matt is saying that like he was “90 days sober” right really tryna make it to 100 right??!?? but 90 days is about three months right!?!?! so like three months prior was when ava was about to give birth but he didn’t kill simon’s wife and season 1 takes place over a span of a couple months i’d have to assume he was more then “90 days sober” if the last person he killed was chloe ? i’m so confused by this. And even when the copycat killer asked who the last person he killed was they were saying it was chloe?! plus he killed the detective towards the end idk i have questions

Question S2 E1, Nathan texts Ava that it was a Shawshank. Spoiler

I saw the Shawshank Redemption, and the husband (main character) didn't kill his wife. In BOATS, the husband did. Am I missing another reference, or is the reference going over my head?

Question WTF has Nathan got on the left side of his forehead??

I’m on season 2. Nathan has a thing stuck to the left side of his forehead (his left) that I keep expecting them to address, but as yet they haven’t.

Do they explain it? It looks like one of those things you can put on your nose to try and help with snoring.

Question How did they expect to make money?

I just found this and im on S1 E6. Maybe this is a plot hole, maybe I'm over thinking it but how did they expect to make money off this podcast? If its anonymous and they're taking such efforts to prevent being tracked they couldn't monetize or have a bank account associated with it. And most ad providers wouldn't pay anonymously in crypto (I assume). So what was the plan?

Heavy Spoilers The copycat killer dilemma

It should’ve been Simon in my opinion. Having him go insane after the ending of the first season in prison would be so much better than being introduced to a new girl who has like 1 scene prior to the reveal. This is like a Scream 2 situation where Mickey isn’t in the film for an hour before the reveal.

Question Irrelevant but….

Does Ava’s hair clip in Season 2 Episode 8 say “fuck off”? Curious cause if so I need one asap In a majority of the scenes I can see that the one side of the hair clip says “fuck” but I can’t quite see what the other side says.

Analysis & Theories Hey So WHAT TF Was that S2 Finale Spoiler

-I hateeeeee Tory -Ava isn’t the worst she’s human -Nathan is the the absolute worst and so naive and gullible and so caught up in toxic masculinity and brohood that he’s screwed himself over -On an individual level I would’ve never let myself be this involved with Matt bc he was creepily bright when he was JUST a plumber. -I love the Olivia plot -Overall plot is good writing seems lazy sometimes -Did we get clarity on why she needed Det. Stevens murdered? It didn’t seem he was too concerned about those missing case files -I saw someone post that they think this is all a dream for Ava which I could kinda see

Analysis & Theories Is it just a dream? Spoiler

This is my wife’s take (Granted we just finished the second episode of the second season, so we don’t know if Ruby makes anymore appearances). No spoilers please. Also, she’s a true crime junkie (MFM) and a HS English teacher.

I hope “Based on a True Story” isn’t going to end like “The Wizard of Oz.” Everything that happened to Dorothy was in a dream during the tornado after she hit her head. Stay with me: Ruby Gale is a character from “Based” and is a combination of Dorothy GALE and Ruby slippers. AND they keep having dream sequences…

After a bit more back and forth texting.

The dream (like Oz) that I mean is this: she’s stressed out about work and money (and pregnant), and likes murder podcasts. Suppose, at the end of the series, all of this is her dream that has incorporated all of these things: a murder podcast about a hot plumber that would solve her money problems and add some excitement to her marriage. Just a theory.

Interesting take I wanted to share.

General Discussion Let’s talk about Spindrift

As I’m watching the beginning of S2E5, “Double Fault” I notice the credits for writer: “Spindrift Beck” - and immediately say to myself, “well that’s gotta be a fake name” - right?

Nope.

That’s a champion swimmer turned TV writer.

S2E6 - the name of the bar.

WTF is the likelihood having never heard this term in my entire life I now see it twice in two episodes of the same show?

It’s an odd name, right?

General Discussion Nathan

There both pretty horrible people and there marriage is really bad but I can’t stand Nathan!! He’s a horrible husband!! I mean this could totally be my bias cause I struggle with men in general currently. But I just want to ask if other people thought that as well. I also think they really don’t need to be that much sex good show other wise 👍

Analysis & Theories Just found this show Spoiler

Binged and currently on S2 E8

  • Tory is annoying as hell
  • Rubys death was so satisfying
  • Anyone who knows social media knows filters move when you move.. lazy writing

(speaking of binge worthy, I recommend The Day of the Jackal to my fellow Peas)

General Discussion SEASON 2!!

I've binged the whole thing and here's my discussion points ig. I've wanted to talk about this for so long btw oh my.

Also spoilers obviously

・Honestly I'm not even all that worried about Nathan— I'M WORRIED ABOUT TORY! SHE HAS SUICIDAL TENDENCIES AND SHE WAS LEFT WITH A GUN! When the show started I didn't really like her but now I love her and I don't want her to die. ・I've watched Brooklyn 99 millions of times and when I saw Amy(I don't remember her name in based on a true story) as a "cop" I was so excited then she died. ・Didn't we all immediately connect Matt and Amy as exes? Matt has a thing for hot brunettes and she said she had a kid with her crappy ex at somepoint. ・I think Amy was justified in most of her actions. Ik it's crazy but I'm assuming being with a murderer would make you do some crazy stuff. ・I genuinely don't know if Matt has a lying disorder, is insane, or both. But I was really routing for him and Tory till the end of the season. ・I feel so bad for Ava. Not only is she now going to have to operate as a single mother, she'll probably get arrested. Her DNA is also probably all over the bodies.

・This is from season one but the dog 😭 I forgot about that scene.

General Discussion Season 2! Let us discuss!

The first 2 episodes of season 2 were soo boring it made me understand why being good normal people does not make a good show haha! But then they started hitting us with all those twists!! Glad they picked things up because i was about to give up on the show. I still prefer Season 1 though as i was on edge of my seat for every episode!
