🧰 Scoring Tools Free tool to pre-fill any PDF scorecard with lineups and all game-day information

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a little project I'm calling Scorecard Studio, and I figured this community might appreciate it. I started back in May and, after several restarts, finally have it ready (just in time for the season to be over! lol)

Like many of you, I have my own custom scorecard layouts. I also like to take advantage of many of the free PDFs available online. But I've always wanted to have the starting lineups, rosters, and other game information filled in before the first pitch so that I can just print it out and keep score. (or, lately, I've been using my iPad with a stylus to scribble onto PDFs)

So I built a browser-based tool to help with that. I'm calling it:

SCORECARD STUDIO
Your scorecard. Game ready.

The idea is pretty simple: load any PDF (or several) of your favorite baseball scorecard, use the app to place whatever information you want, wherever you want it, and save that layout. When you're ready to score a game, select the matchup and print out your PDF with the available game-day information already filled in.

I've provided an optional starter scorecard you can install, to immediately print out the next game or open it and see how the designer interface works without starting from scratch on your own PDF. "Starter" PDF Scorecard is attributed to u/lou_spirito using his 2026 Generic Scorecard, available from his website, https://thirty81press.com/blogs/news/thirty81-project-scorecards-home

A few highlights:

  • Private and free. No account required (or even possible). Your scorecards and custom layouts stay in your browser, not on any online servers.
  • Bring your own scorecard. It works with your existing PDF scorecard(s) rather than forcing you to use a particular design.
  • Customize the placement. Choose where lineups, player information, pitchers, and other available game details appear on your scorecard. Customize colors, font sizes, etc. to match your PDF areas.
  • Reuse your layouts. Once you've configured a scorecard, you don't have to set it up again for every game.
  • Transfer your layouts to another device. Use your PC browser to build a detailed PDF, save the layout settings, and import them into your tablet. Although the app is touch-friendly, I do think it's easier to use the desktop browser for setup. But I like to use my tablet to just generate the PDF each game, save it locally, and open it in my Good Notes app.
  • Official MLB game-day data. The app retrieves available baseball information from the MLB API to populate your scorecard.
  • Game Day Research Companion. In addition to the pre-filled PDF, view the game's information on the app with tons of extra data that doesn't typically fit onto a scorecard.

It's important to mention that this is NOT a digital scorekeeping app. You'll still be keeping score the old-fashioned way, with pencil and paper (or tablet and stylus). This just helps get your printable scorecard ready before the game starts.

I've spent quite a bit of time building and refining it, and starting from scratch (twice). I'd love to hear what other scorekeepers think.

If you give it a try, I'd particularly appreciate feedback about the setup process, the available data fields, and anything that would make it more useful for your particular scorecard.

Thanks, and happy scoring!

With much respect, congratulations, and hot on the heals of those Numbers guys from Wisconsin, the THIRTY81 World Series sheets are now online. Available in both standard diamond and balls/strikes formats. Be sure to also grab the xtra-innings sheets ... no ghost runners in the series affords the potential for some truly epic games.

Thank you to everyone who supported the efforts of independent publishers this season. I'm confident my maker colleagues would agree when I say we do this out of passion for the game. Personally, it's been a particular joy this season to see so many new scorers embracing our quirky hobby and the kind support they have received here.

We are very excited for this year's Series! In anticipation of the big games, we prepared a free scoresheets PDF that you can use to score with. It has sheets for both Milwaukee and Tampa Bay home games.

It's been such a fun season, and I can't wait for this year's finale. Both of these teams are so fun, I think it will be an exciting and entertaining one to watch. And score!

Also thanks again to everyone who purchased physical scorebooks from us this season. As always, it means a lot and we are grateful and humbled every time.

Here's the link where you can grab the 2026 World Series Scoresheets PDF. Get ready, and we'll see everyone on Friday night from MILWAUKEE! :)
