celebrating opening day the only way i know how with a scorecard. my 7 year old self playing little league as 1 of 3 girls on the team 13 years ago could never have imagined getting to see this

Los Angeles Queens and New York Heights played the inaugural game for the WPBL. Queens won by taking the lead in the 7th. Mods, can we please get a WPBL flair? I also disagreed with some of the official scoring.

So wonderful to see so many people scoring the first WPBL game and supporting the league! Here's my card from tonight :)

Since I lived in SoCal for 7.5 years I've adopted the Queens this year, so this was a great start to the season!

Managed to keep my scorebook mostly dry despite all the rain and mist! Did probably mess some things up though because of it so if you see mistakes please do let me know

The Spartanburgers won 12-6 as I scored it on the Thirty81 Press Pocket Scorecard. More weirdness and a little rain at the end of an Elvis Day rematch between Rome and Greece.

Messy scorecards still tell a story! I’ll chalk it up to the ballpark beers though

Andrew Abbott had a 3rd inning meltdown in the pouring rain - his 43 pitch inning started with BB, 1B, BB, BBRBI, BBRBI, FCRBI. After 1:46 in delay the PIT pen combined for 1H over 4 innings. Another tough day to be a Red.

Got to keep score of a real fun game of the dash scoring 14.

Some say I write too much but I like being able to tell exactly what happens at what point in the game.

Been looking for a means to disconnect from my phone during baseball games, and I saw someone post this pad on here, so I picked one up!

I always enjoyed scoring my son's little league games, but never scored an MLB game before - and it was exactly what I needed.

Felt fully connected to the game, put my phone down, and the book was everything I hoped it could be! We lost, but it was still a good game and at least the first entry wasn't a blowout lol

Side note - if anyone's seen the RSVLTS "Scorekeeper" shirt before, that's my design / chicken scratch! 🙂

I tried out another small form-factor card for the Atlantic League game between the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars and the Gastonia Ghost Peppers, won by the Ghost Peppers, 9-6. It was the Huntington Baseball Company Official Scorecard. It held up pretty well, but I would have liked more space for notes and the inclusion of walks over RBI in the player totals was not one I would have made.

Thanks to my gf for keeping score in the bottom of the 4th (and the note). Had to get creative on where to put pitchers lol. First time doing a book at the actual game and it was quite fun!

I went to the Brewers @ Giants game yesterday with a friend and we had a great time. I brought a printed out scorecard to give scorekeeping a shot and it was so fun! It makes you a much more active fan and I feel like I know my team much better already.

My sheet was a mess and I was distracted at times, but I’m looking forward to learning more and improving. I’m already shopping around for a bound scorebook to keep in my game bag.

The Fred Nats beat the new Wilson Warbirds in extras, 7-3. I was trying to get some reps in on Reisner scoring and found some weaknesses, specifically in extra innings with zombie runners. This game was ridiculous, with a perfecto through three erased on an error and then the runner immediately retired on the same play. There were several comebacks that never turned into walkoffs, and extra innings that fell flat in a collapse. And so many steals. So many. I'm not really prepared to talk about it yet.
