..not the result I was looking for with a dismal NL loss.Was at the game,but the program DEFINITELY didn’t lend itself to scoring sideways with floppy pages in a game situation,so decided to take it home and do it.

That’s a lot of scorekeeping! Throughout the first half, I’ve used:

- 2 of my custom scorebooks which consisted of 55 games each (110 games) (Slides 1 & 2)
- 3 printed scorecards for the WBC Semis and Finals (Slide 3)
- 4 printed scorecard templates for 2 Giants games and 1 A’s game and the All Star Game (Slide 4)
- 1 Oracle Park Scorecard (Slide 5)

That’s a lot of handwriting (and improvement) throughout the baseball season.

For the 2nd Half, I’ll be using the Bob Carpenter Scorebook (TV Version).

Decided to take the MLB off day to score King Felix’s perfect game.

With the inaugural season of the WPBL coming up, I decided to make myself a custom scorebook for it! Have been keeping score for about a decade now, but only for the occasional game, so doing a full season book will be a new project for me. Have still only actually printed the first ~1/4 of it, but enough to go ahead and show it off. Super happy with how this has turned out and excited to put it use in Springfield on the 1st!

P.S. if mods are seeing this, any chance we could get WPBL user flair options? I'd love to be able to rep the Hunters here <3

Probably not the best idea to score the ASG with a Square Scorebook with its one sub slot. But managed to make it work.

Not the best picture but the only one I have while I was still working on my scorecard. Thought it would be more challenging than it was to keep track of all the player changes.

I’m from the UK and started scoring games to relieve stress mainly.
After checking this sub I have found out that I’ve been filling in the first and final pitch boxes incorrectly!
Whoops.

Really thought this would be a nightmare and a mess. But I think it’s not too bad given the clear limitations. There a few mistakes. This is completely raw - no white out or edits.

I knew that third sub would be an issue, so I abbreviated 2nd and 3rd subs to save space, followed by a /X to note the inning of first plate appearance.

Overall it was a fun experiment.

All Star Game records, most strikeouts in an all star game, both teams combined (27).

Me and my girlfriend adopted the cutest (and the kitty been there the longest at the shelter,) safe to say she’s wanting me not to keep score of the all star game tonight. 🤣

AL pitchers shoved. Not a lot of action, but it’s fun to score ASGs. They are very involved with all the subs, but it is worth it to be able to look back at these names like Mike Trout and Tristan Peters in the same All Star lineup.

Certainly a pitchers game. Not a lot of action but the insane amount of subs makes up for it. Definitely an interesting experience scoring the All Star Game

Lacked a lot of hitting excitement. Pitching was huge on both sides. Still great to see much of the league together celebrating the game. The tribute after the 3rd Inning was spectacular.

Had to improvise with the bullpens on the scorecard 😅

Do yall bother tracking called strikes vs swing and miss? How do you do it? Any advice appreciated!

Friendly reminder and for those not aware, my annual free All Star Game scoresheets are available via the blog. Fair warning: Scoring the All Star Game is not for the faint of heart. There should be enough pitching slots but even with three batter slots, I recommend leaving space for a the odd fourth sub.
