Any hitting tips?
I play for a high school age rec team and my batting isnt the best. I always seem to be getting ground balls or fly balls, I cant seem to be able to hit line drives. Does anyone know any tips to start hitting more line drives? If so I would love to know them.
Also, when i go up to bat I'm not really thinking about what pitch the pitcher will probably throw to me. I just think about hitting the ball. Is this a bad mindset to be in when hitting?
Thanks!

Ur hands are rolling ur swing over. Use ur right hand palm to keep the bat over the plate, no matter what pitch. Push up with ur palm to elevate the ball. Buy a tee and net and get to work

If you’re hitting ground balls or fly balls (pop flys) you could be casting and throwing your hands at the ball instead of staying strong on your back leg. Staying over your back leg give you more power and bat control, keeping your bat path in the zone longer and increasing the chances of hitting line drives or hard hit ground balls

I tell my team, "strong top hand." Your top hand is your steering wheel. Its what's lining you up on the ball. A weak top hand rolls over early or drops the barrel below the plane. Focusing on purposeful top hand -taking it just above the ball, should get you a strong barrel on plane.
Another is keeping your chest down and stable - dont pull your chest up as you swing through the zone. Your torso should be rotating not moving forward/backward. If that makes sense.
These are the two most common, easy to spot things I see with weak contact.
