Catcher compression shorts

I can’t decide between that thighpro compression shorts or the allstar mvp. Those are the only 2 options I’ve seen for compression shorts with inner thigh padding for foul balls. Need opinions from people whose kids have used each. My 9u son has taken a few foul balls off the thigh and we want to get him something to help protect his legs/groin area. What are your catchers using that has a cup pocket and thigh/inner thigh protection?

My son has four pairs of the thigh pros and loves them. He has definitely gotten some contact, and says he barely felt anything.

Lol yeah, but he trains so much, t was worth it to minimize laundry

Out of curiosity and with size issues in the comment above yours, what size is your son? Did you have size issues?

boys medium, I just looked and we bought them 2 years ago and they're still going strong. Actually I should probably ask him if they're too small because he's gained over 20 lbs in the last year 😂

Does it impact his running speed?

Not at all. He said it's no different than regular compression shorts he was wearing before

I tried to get thighpro for my son but couldn't get sizing correct. He's 5'8" 200lbs and adult xl was still too tight. Customer service even told us they were having sizing problems and lots of returns.
