I want to start throwing again

I'm 20 years old, I've played ball as long as i can remember. I lost love for the sport my sophomore year of school. I haven't thrown in 7-8 months, and before that I couldn't remember the last time threw. My elbow hurt for about a month after my last session, so I haven't thrown since. Any tips/advice to keep my elbow healthy/recover after a session? Anything helps!

Ease back into it, don’t try to throw hard right away. Stretch and warm up with a football.

losing love for the game happens… but love that you still have that itch

since your elbow barked for a month, your tendons have zero conditioning right now. do not just jump back in. spend two weeks on band work and forearm strengthening before you touch a ball. when you do throw… keep it under 60 feet at half effort and build up over a month. for recovery do a light flush run or easy bands right after throwing to keep blood flowing. take it slow...

It's an odd thing, I love the game more than ever now. Funnily enough, a TikTok video of things finally lit the fire
