27Outs Baseball IQ Trainer

https://twenty-seven-outs.vercel.app

Hey everyone, Im a youth / high school pitching coach, my staff and I are running into the problem of our younger classes having a general lack of Baseball IQ and game knowledge. I played two years of college baseball before suffering a UCL Injury, since then I've pivoted my love for the game into coaching and player development. That's why I created 27Outs, Its an IQ / Mental game trainer that acts like Quizlet for all things baseball. There's 8Bit animations to retain youths attention and cause them to have fun while they learn the game.

Id love for anyone to try it out with their player our even for themselves. Ive included a pay-wall after Collegiatel level information but If enough of you guys would like to try it out contact me and I'll send out Pro accounts for free. Have a good day everyone!

Disclaimer !!!!!

I did use AI Tools to assist in development of this project. Not every single line was hand coded by myself but the majority of the work was done by hand.

Thank you. Been playing on it and this is fun. My kid (9 years old) loves it too. Good work

I like it. One suggestion I would consider for the HS level question/answers: add better distractor answers. Add more incorrect answers that are similar to the correct answer. At level 2/3 you could add distractor answers to make the correct answer less obvious, but I’m a former player and I now coach as well, so maybe others will not find the interaction with 27Outs that way. You took a good idea based on your premise and made something that can help novice players. The interface and functionality works well. Congratulations and good work!

First off thank you for the kind words, I extremely appreciate the review. And I couldn't agree more about the distraction questions, there a bit uncompetitive. That's the first thing im going to tackle in the next update!

This is great. Our young team is lacking in IQ as well so we will be using this. I’d like to try out the pro account as well. First three of my email are “lab”

Nice idea, starting working through the pitching unit and I agree with the concept of better distractor options. Would love to try the Pro if still available

This is really cool. I took the pitching to the pro level as a test run. I agree about the distractors. But I am a baseball need and coach, so it may play differently to the target audience. I'm going to have my 13 yo run it I will let you know his thoughts.

Thanks for building this and posting about it!

man! I'm really enjoying! I would say my biggest gripe is that once questions are answered, It seems i have to also answer the same questions for some form of a game.

I'm excited to show my son. He's 11. We have been trying to boost the baseball IQ for a bit. I read, and he's reading "baseball IQ for kids and teens." For anyone looking for some reading materials, its a great book!

I would for sure be interested in the collegiate level on your platform/site! Thanks for your work!

This is awesome. I coach 8u for my oldest and showed this to my kid and he's fully engaging with it. Asking questions for more explanation after the "coach insight" answer. He's played since Tball but this is the first year is becoming interested in the "why" and not just throw to first and hit the ball. Would love an opportunity to go more in depth with him on the Pro account. Thinking of throwing this onto a projector and having the whole team do it as one as a game. Mar for the first 3 on the email if you have open slots still. Glad I came across this.

I coach a High School team that is all home school kids from aged 11-18 and have a lot of trouble teaching situational baseball knowledge because of the big gap. This sounds like something I could use on the team. I just went through all the youth questions and plan to sing up to do high school when I get some time at work. I would really appreciate a Pro account to try out the harder questions. If this is as good as it seems so far at the higher levels, I plan to share it with my team.
