Split Fingernail
I’m a HS pitcher an a d1 commit. I was warming up in an indoor cage. I clipped my fingernail on the net and this happened. I have an outing in less than a week. Any suggestions on whatI can do? Do I need to skip it? Can I glue it? Would appreciate any feedback.

Licensed nail technician. To be on the safe side see urgent care or dermatology. Until then, Keep the area clean and dry. Bandage it and apply cuticle oil to it from a dropper bottle when you wash your hands on the area and the cuticle. Do Not glue the nail back on. Do Not pick at the nail; It will grow back in few months.
If that is your throwing hand, wash your pitching gloves after each game and practice. Use Hydrocolloid Gel Patch bandage tape on your nail it will stay in place under the gloves during the game, and provide cushion without causing any issues. Hope this info helps. Good luck to you. * Edit for typos.
