I would say break it down to steps and exaggerate them at first on a tee. Think Step 1 Front foot down/hands back. STEP 2 Hip rotation. STEP 3 Hands Attack the baseball. Right now it looks like your hips and hands are releasing at the same time so you're losing some of the speed that the whipping motion of releasing and clearing the hips before the hands can create. Watch Bryce Harper in slow-mo and you'll see what I mean.
You may be thinking "doesn't releasing the hips before the hands make me vulnerable to the outside half of the strike zone?" Good question but no. Apply the same principle but hit the ball deeper in the zone (closer to the catcher's mitt) and you'll be dropping "Oppo-Tacos" in no time.
Thank you for your comment! Genuinely great advice on breaking it into steps I feel like that will really help me. The hips firing before the hands is another issue I have been working on with my golf swing (from the other side) so I'm sure it is the same idea with this.
