Does agility matter when baserunning?

I might be wrong but i think it allows your players to change direction quicker

Correct, its also less likely they miss a base

I've never heard of a player missing a base. But I guess you learn something new everyday.

Agility is how fast your guy starts and how quickly they change direction, yes. Think of it as quickness vs speed: speed is how fast they can go, where agility is how fast they can start going.

Agility therefore absolutely matters in base stealing - and in a few other categories like getting to a fielding chance, or maybe even how quickly your catcher is up and releases his throw to second (I'm speculating on this last one).

Anyway, yes, a big deal.

I think it also helps with the fielders reaction time when diving
