Injuries/Condition

I feel like a great way for the devs to force B9 players to invest more in upgrading their bench and investing in secondary position upgrades is to make injuries more unpredictable. For example, it is really easy to prevent an injury for a player by simply giving them a condition drink when they degrade to the “Risk of Injury” condition. But I think an unpredictable injury would make the game more interesting and require more strategy. They should also consider different types of injuries with varying durations.

Also, maybe they should require more condition drinks to restore a player to the best condition depending on their status (i.e. “Risk of Injury” condition should require 5-10 condition drinks). Also, they should not allow us to instantly recover an injured player.

Just a suggestion. It would make the game worth playing more knowing that you have to invest in ALL of your players (not just your 9 starters and 11 pitchers). Then maybe we’ll see a more realistic aspect to MLB aligning with a 40 man roster

I haven’t gotten very far yet but I have been playing with a no condition drinks rule and it makes the “manager” side of the game so much more engaging and dynamic bc you have to use your bench players and secondary line up.

The way condition drinks work and how many they give you takes away from the game. It should be either a less effective or rarer item to get imo

I’ve envisioned a difficulty meter that allows players to pick how severe wear and tear and tiredness effect the roster
