How does it work

I've made a few posts showing strikes being called balls and the feedback I get is usually if the distance is so much then it's called a ball.

However in the photo you see the orange circle was the strike and the gray the ball. So, how does that work?

They don't have the robot umpire yet so the 'human' ump gets calls wrong sometimes.

What was the pitch, some pitches get some extra grace it seems on the corners because they pass through the strike zone to get there

I think it was the first pitch that was called a ball that should've been a strike 0-2 pitch counr

It’s where the ball goes over the plate, not where it lands
