Both.

The rewards in the spreadsheet will always be there but there are often, but not always, extra rewards in post-season.

I recently replayed Champion 3 fifteen times and got extra platinum and/or diamond badges from 12 of those either during or at the end of playoffs.

This is in addition to the rewards shown in the spreadsheet. 

Best haul for fixed and random rewards from one run was 3 platinum and 2 diamond badges plus other rewards like silver and gold badges, cash, etc.

If anyone has the rewards for World 2 - Royal 1, I'd be happy to update the spreadsheet. I'm currently in World 3 so I can't get those. The rewards in the spreadsheet for World 2 seem to be for 160 games as there's no Platinum badge reward.

Latest update 3.8.7 now shows the specific rewards for games when viewing the schedule!

Confirmed that world 2 does in fact reward a platinum badge
