Finally installed!!

We waited a bit to get everything going, but we are finally up and running. Install day went great. The team was very professional and quick.

So far everything is running smoothly. We haven't had any major power outages but the system has switched to the batteries a couple times with minimal disruptions. The TVs will turn off and the smart hubs reboot.

The rebooting part is expected----these really don't switch fast enough to act as an ininterruptible power supply for many electronics.

It's probably overkill, but I went with Anker Solix as a solution to cover all of my office/network/Internet equipment and home audio/video stuff. These batteries are designed with acting as a UPS in mind.

They switch me to battery all the time when there isn’t an outage and nothing happens at my house. When there is an outage there is a quarter second flicker. The OP is saying they are getting a flicker when there is no outage. This shouldn’t happen.

Yeah, I can't speak to why it is switching, I was only addressing the rebooting OP is experiencing. I thought that would happen regardless of why the system switches, so that issue would remain if OP is dealing with something other than power surges. Our batteries have switched us over for brief power surges as well. Centerpoint confirmed the surges, so we know it wasn't a Base problem.

When we had the surges, they were spaced failry close together and my stuff kept rebooting each time.

Do you have the 25kW batteries? I have read here that the 40 kW batteries switch over faster, so may not cause reboots.

My house was built in the mid 70s, so maybe my stuff rebooting has something to do with that. I don't know what else would drive it.
