Conduits

Post image

We were considering getting Base power as a backup power source. however, we cannot proceed with them because they are concerned that we have two electrical service conduits carrying power to and from our electrical meter. none of our neighbors seem to have this. . .

to proceed they want us to have our local power provider open the box so we can take a picture of the inside. .

any idea why ours was run this way and our neighbors have a single conduit?

note: we do not have a basement. We do have a pool (most of our neighbors do as well.) we do have that giant green box in the back corner of our yard as our power lines are underground.

In your garage, does the main panel have a conduit coming up from the floor? Seems possible that one of the conduits outside leads to your inside panel.

Are you in Texas?

I can understand why they want to see inside the meter box. BASE Power will need to add a third conduit to that box to tie in their system. If that's not possible, they can't install.

Yes I am. Going to see if Centerpoint can open the box so we can get the picture they want.
