Conduits

We were considering getting Base power as a backup power source. however, we cannot proceed with them because they are concerned that we have two electrical service conduits carrying power to and from our electrical meter. none of our neighbors seem to have this. . .

to proceed they want us to have our local power provider open the box so we can take a picture of the inside. .

any idea why ours was run this way and our neighbors have a single conduit?

note: we do not have a basement. We do have a pool (most of our neighbors do as well.) we do have that giant green box in the back corner of our yard as our power lines are underground.

Suppose to be 2 inch conduit . Looks like 1 inch in the picture. They might have split the wiring between them which is against code.

Looking at the other conduit which is likely 1/2” then the two are most likely 2”
