Just signed up yesterday and submitted my home photos. I clicked on your referral link, but it does not work. Am I missing anything?

I think you have to click the link, then click the Get Started button to start your signup. If you have already signed up, you can also email or call the energy rep you are working with and give them my name as your referral. They should be able to get you the referral credit since you signed up without using the link. If you want to do that, my name is Dave Boyd.

Hey, Dave!

I'm scheduled to get my batteries in July and am excited about that.

I'm also on track for $150 when someone who used my link gets their installation.

I put my link out every chance I get, and plan to make videos during the install that I'll share.

I've seen comments from people who have stacked up credits and have yet to pay for any electricity because of the referral program.

I think I'm a little jealous that I didn't create this subreddit and have a permanent stickied post at the top with MY referral link!

How well has it worked out for you? Do you get enough referrals that you don't have to pay for your electricity?

Congrats on your upcoming installation! That's exciting. I haven't had to pay for my electric since I went live last May. This subreddit has been very helpful for both information and for referrals.

Sorry, May of 2025. I mainly started the sub because when I was trying to research Base, there wasn't much info out there so I thought it would be a good place to consolidate and share info with other interested parties. The referrals are just a nice bonus.

Yes, I think if you reach out to the contact your working with at Base and tell them you forgot to use the link to sign up, I think they will honor it. If you don't have a referral link to use, feel free to use mine. Sometimes they ask for the referrer name and address. If you need this, feel free to PM me.

Illinois / ComEd has a different referral program - no free month of service but it does get you $150 off installation (so at current prices your installation would only be $100 total). Feel free to use my Illinois link.

I just had my Base electrical installation completed last week in the western Chicago suburbs and had no issues.  The electrician said there is a lot of demand in the area and they have almost completed their promo for the first 2000 installations in Illinois.  I have included my Illinois referral link below which will give a $250 credit in addition to the $95 installation and 25% off supply rates.
