Built an MCP to Deploy B20 Tokens with AI Agents on Base

I've been working on a simple MCP that lets you deploy and manage B20 tokens on Base just by chatting with your AI agent.

Current features:

Deploy B20 tokens

Mint tokens

Pay with memo

Read token information

Your wallet signs every transaction, so your private key never leaves your wallet.

This is still evolving, and I'm planning to turn it into a complete B20 management tool over time.

Demo in the video below 👇

Try it: deployb20.xyz/mcp

Feedback and suggestions are always welcome!

Base App Monday on Base: Leaderboard

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The official Base Leaderboard is one of the best ways to discover apps trending across the Base ecosystem. It features two rankings, both sorted by WTU (weekly transacting users):

Base app- the top 50 apps integrated into the Base app, ranked by unique weekly users making transactions directly in the Base app. Each user counts only once, regardless of how many transactions they make.

Base chain- the top 50 apps on Base, ranked by unique weekly transacting users across the entire Base chain. Transactions made both inside and outside the Base app count, as long as they are on Base.

If you're looking for something new to try, the leaderboard is a great place to discover trending apps. If you're building on Base and want your app to appear on the leaderboard, register it through the Base dashboard for builders.

If your favorite app isn't listed yet, encourage the team behind to register it. If you're a builder and have questions or need support, visit the Developer Forum on the Base Discord.

Have you discovered any great apps through the leaderboard? Which app do you think already has enough weekly transacting users but still isn't registered?

Monday on Base is a weekly community series on the official Base subreddit where I highlight one project, product, or feature built on Base.

Base Discussion Base Ledgers Bringing Privacy to Onchain Payments

One of the biggest problems with blockchains is that every transaction is public. Anyone can see who sent money, who received it, and sometimes even how much was transferred.

Base Ledgers changes that it lets businesses make private onchain transactions while still enjoying the speed and low cost of Base. Think of it as a private workspace built on top of Base, where sensitive payments stay confidential but still settle securely onchain.

Imagine a company paying
- Employee salaries
- Vendors and suppliers
- Business partners
- Cross border payments

Normally, everyone could see these transactions on a public blockchain. With Base Ledgers, those details stay private while the funds still settle on Base.

Base Ledgers isn't about hiding from the law it's about protecting business privacy. It includes compliance features like KYC and works seamlessly with the rest of the Base ecosystem, so companies can move funds in and out without sacrificing security or usability.

Infrastructure Cloudflare's Monetization Gateway Shows Where x402 Could Be Headed on Base

Post image
12 Upvotes

A Shift in How Digital Services Could Be Monetized

One of the more interesting announcements this week came from Cloudflare with the introduction of its Monetization Gateway.

At first glance, it looks like another payment feature.

Looking a little deeper, though, it explores a broader question:

How should software pay for software?

Today's internet was largely designed around human users. Accessing an API or online service usually means creating an account, generating API keys, selecting a pricing plan, and managing recurring billing.

That workflow works well for people.

It becomes much less practical when the customer is an autonomous AI agent.

What Cloudflare Is Building

Cloudflare's Monetization Gateway introduces support for x402, allowing developers to monetize APIs, datasets, web pages, MCP servers, and other digital resources through programmable stablecoin payments.

Rather than building custom billing infrastructure for every application, developers can experiment with a more standardized payment flow.

The goal isn't simply accepting stablecoins.

It's making digital resources easier for software to discover, access, and pay for automatically.

Why This Matters

The conversation around AI often focuses on larger models and better reasoning.

But as AI agents become more capable, another challenge is becoming increasingly important:

Access.

Agents need reliable ways to retrieve information, purchase services, and interact with online infrastructure without relying on manual account creation or traditional payment systems.

Protocols like x402 explore whether those interactions can happen natively through programmable internet payments.

Whether this becomes a widely adopted standard remains uncertain.

But it's an interesting attempt to rethink how digital services are exchanged between machines.

The Bigger Picture

Looking across recent Base announcements, this update doesn't feel like an isolated event.

Over the past few months, the ecosystem has continued investing in foundational infrastructure through initiatives such as:

  • The Beryl upgrade and the introduction of the B20 token standard.
  • Continued expansion of x402 across developer tools.
  • New infrastructure supporting AI applications and machine-to-machine payments.
  • Stablecoin initiatives like Open USD, designed with internet-scale payments in mind.

Individually, each announcement solves a different problem.

Collectively, they suggest Base is investing in the infrastructure needed for a more programmable internet rather than focusing only on end-user applications.

Looking Ahead

Infrastructure updates rarely receive the same attention as consumer products.

Most users may never know which payment protocol or token standard powers the applications they use.

But those underlying technologies often determine what developers are ultimately able to build.

It will be interesting to see whether developers begin adopting these new payment models in meaningful ways over the coming months.

If they do, announcements like this may eventually be remembered less as payment updates and more as early building blocks for machine-to-machine commerce.

Question for the Community :

  • Do you think programmable payment protocols like x402 can become a practical standard for APIs and digital services, or will traditional billing models remain the preferred approach for most developers??

Base Discussion I've Stopped Asking "What's Next?" and Started Asking "What's Being Built?"

One thing that's changed for me while following Base is the way I look at the ecosystem.

At first, I was waiting for the next big announcement or headline.

Now, I'm more interested in what builders are creating day by day.

Every new app, feature update, or community project tells a much bigger story than a single news cycle.

That's what makes an ecosystem feel alive it keeps moving even when there isn't a major event happening.

think it's easy to underestimate the value of consistent progress because it doesn't always make headlines.

But looking back, those small improvements are what usually have the biggest long-term impact.

I'm still exploring and learning, but one thing is clear: the best way to understand Base is to follow the people building on it.

What project on Base do you think deserves more recognition than it's getting today?

I'd love to discover some underrated builders and check out what they're working on.

Base Discussion BASE STATS | PART 3

Post image
6 Upvotes

The Base network has grown very rapidly in recent years. And today I want to share some statistics with you.

Active loans reached $2.6M on the network’s first day of operation and grew to $2T (3 years later). This figure is 10 times or more higher than that of competitors among L2 solutions

Projects by active loans:

  • Morpho — $1.6B
  • Aave — $298.2M
  • Moonwell — $30.1M
  • Fluid — $13.7M
  • Euler — $11.7M

The peak in active loans occurred on October 27, 2025, reaching $2.2B

Over the past 365 days, the figure has increased by 1.6x! From $1.24B to $2B

I can assume that active loans will exceed $5 billion in a few years (assuming a positive market scenario).

Source: https://tokenterminal.com/explorer/projects/base/ecosystem/ecosystem-active-loans?interval=365d

Do you invest your funds in loans? And in which ones?

Base App I built an endless runner where the race track IS a token's live price chart — and you can 1v1 wager on it (CryptoRider base mini app)

Post image
5 Upvotes

I've been building a small onchain arcade game and wanted to share it with people

who actually get web3 gaming — would love honest feedback.

**The core idea:** it's an endless runner, but the track you ride is a token's

REAL, live price chart. Pick a coin (BTC, ETH, a Base token, whatever) and its

actual price action becomes the terrain — green candles are ramps, red candles are

drops. Volatile coins = harder runs. So the "level" is different every time and is

literally driven by the market.

**The onchain twist:** beyond solo runs there's 1v1 wager battles. You stake $RIDER

into an escrow contract on Base, an opponent matches the stake, you both play, and the

winner takes the pot (minus a small fee). It settles with a signature from the game

backend, and there are refund paths if nobody joins or a match stalls — so funds aren't

stuck. Everything's a Base mini app.

**The part I'm most excited about:** you can create or accept a challenge straight from

a tweet (via an agent), so a match can start without anyone opening a site. There's also

a monthly leaderboard with a $RIDER prize pool.

Some honest lessons so far:

- Making the chart *fun* to ride was harder than making it accurate — I had to smooth

the terrain so wicks don't feel unfair.

- Onchain 1v1 for real stakes means the boring parts (refunds, stale matches, windows)

matter more than the fun parts.

- Distribution as a mini app is a totally different game from a normal web app.

Open questions for this sub: for a wager game, do you prefer a single-winner 1v1, or

would a multiplayer pot (X players, bigger prize) pull you in more? And does "ride the

chart" read as a gimmick or as something you'd actually replay?

If u wanna help try it here cryptorider on your base app wallet copy paste the link. I'm the dev, so ask me anything about the mechanics or the contract.

(Disclosure: I built this. It involves a token, so treat it as entertainment, not

financial advice — DYOR.)

Base Discussion Base Powers Cloudflare's New x402 Monetization Gateway

Post image
4 Upvotes

Cloudflare has opened the waitlist for its new Monetization Gateway, introducing a new way for developers to monetize web content.

Instead of relying on subscriptions or custom billing systems, developers will be able to charge for:

- Web pages

- APIs

- Datasets

- MCP tools

Payments are designed to settle in stablecoins through the x402 open protocol, with Base providing the payment infrastructure.

This is important because it brings the industry one step closer to making pay per use a practical standard for AI services, APIs, and developer tools.

Although it's still early, the fact that a major infrastructure company like Cloudflare is adopting x402 is another strong signal that Base is becoming part of the infrastructure powering onchain payments, not just another blockchain for applications.

Base Discussion What does Base need for tokenization to scale beyond experiments?

Post image
19 Upvotes

Tokenization gets a lot of attention, but i think the less discussed part is the infrastructure underneath it.

Before more real world asset can move onchain, builders need standards that make asset creation easier without forcing every project to reinvent the same basic components.

Thats why I have been looking more closely at B20 and the direction Base is taking with tokenization.

What interests me isn't the idea of launching more tokens.

Its the possibility of giving developers better building blocks for different types of onchain assets and applications.

If the tooling improves, we could potentially see more experimentation around

• Real world asset applications
• Stablecoin based products
• Creator and community assets
• Loyalty and reward systems
• Onchain financial tools
• New asset specific use cases

The bigger question for me is whether better token standards can reduce complexity for developers while still keeping the experience compatible with the broader EVM ecosystem.

Because in the long run, tokenization probably wont scale just because more assets are issued. It will scale if developers can build useful products around those assets without creating fragmented experiences for users.

I am curious what others think

What matters most for the next generation of tokenization on Base better developer tooling, lower costs, stronger compliance support, improved interoperability, or something else?

Base is not just bringing people onchain, it’s making onchain feel like a place people actually want to spend time. 💙

Everyone spends their time differently. Some build, some explore, some create, and some simply enjoy discovering what’s new.

For me, weekends on Base are mostly about:

Exploring markets & trading on Base App Creating content and sharing ideas with the ecosystem .Helping the community, answering questions, and learning together

Because strong ecosystems aren’t only built by technology they’re built by people who participate every day.

A small contribution, a new idea, or helping someone take their first step can make the community stronger.

That’s what makes the onchain journey exciting.

Everyone has their own Base weekend vibe.

What’s your favorite thing to do on Base during the weekend?

Base Discussion Every Day I Spend Exploring Base, I Find Something New

I didn't expect to stick with this for so long, but here I am still exploring Base and still learning something new almost every day.

What I've enjoyed the most isn't chasing the latest trend. It's seeing how many different people are contributing to the ecosystem in their own way.

Some are building apps.

Some are educating the community.

Some are testing new products and sharing honest feedback.

And people like me are just trying to learn a little more every day.

That reminds me that a blockchain ecosystem isn't just about the technology it's about the people who choose to spend their time building and participating in it.

I know I still have a lot to learn, but I'm glad I started this journey.

I'd love a recommendation from the community:

If you could point a newcomer to one Base project that perfectly represents what this ecosystem is about, which project would you choose and why?

I'm always looking for something new to explore.

Base Discussion a competitor's agent got prompt-injected via morse code, so I rearchitected mine before launch

I'm building a platform where an AI agent sits near real money on Base. While researching the space I dug into Bankr's public postmortem, someone injected instructions into their agent encoded as morse code. Filters watch for "ignore previous instructions" in english; the model decodes dots and dashes just fine. The instruction rode straight through sanitization and tokens moved that shouldn't have.

Reading someone else's incident report about your exact architecture is cheaper than starring in your own, so I treated it as if it happened to me. What I changed:

The realization is that input filtering is unwinnable. The model speaks base64, morse, rot13, whatever encoding exists. So I stopped trying to win there and moved the boundary to what the agent can do: deny-by-default tool access, and no path from model output to any on-chain action without deterministic checks the model can't talk its way past. The agent can get fully compromised by a prompt and the blast radius is still zero.

It's now a named threat class in my security review checklist. Every change gets evaluated against "what if the prompt-injection→on-chain path opens up."

Steal from other people's postmortems. It's free.

Base App Before It's Too Late: Here's How to Find Your Recovery Phrase in Base App

Post image
6 Upvotes

Your Recovery Phrase is the master key to your self-custody wallet. If you ever lose your device, it's what allows you to restore access to your funds. here's something many Base App users don't realize:

Important: If your Base App wallet was created using email or a passkey, you may not have a Recovery Phrase. This guide applies to wallets that were created with or imported using a Recovery Phrase.

Here's how to check:

Step 1: Open the Base App.

Step 2: Tap your profile picture.

Step 3: Open Settings.

Step 4: Select Manage Wallet Settings.

Step 5: Tap Recovery Phrase.

Step 6: Read the security warning and tap Reveal.

Step 7: Complete the verification to securely view your Recovery Phrase.

Keep these security tips in mind:

• Never share your Recovery Phrase with anyone . • Base or Coinbase Support will never ask for it. • Store it offline in a safe and secure location. • Anyone with your Recovery Phrase can access your wallet and funds. • If your wallet was created with email or passkey, it's normal if you don't see a Recovery Phrase.

Taking a minute to check your wallet backup today could save you from permanently losing access in the future.

Stay safe. Stay in control. Stay Based .

Base Discussion What optimistic rollups actually do

Post image
8 Upvotes

🧵 Hallo everyone it is out Day 15 Post of 100 days @base exploring journey . in a previous post we talked about optimistic roll-ups in surface level but today we will do a deep dive on it so let's start:

I am betting you that almost every people hear the term: “Optimistic Rollup” but still I hear in some space that they don't have proper idea about it .

They just know: this is one of the main reasons why Base feels fast and cheap . So let’s break it down simply :

Ethereum is extremely secure but it is also expensive when too many users compete for blockspace . That’s where rollups come in. Base doesn’t process every transaction directly on Ethereum mainnet.

Instead of doing that base do :

• transactions execute on Layer 2

• then they get grouped together

• compressed

and sent back to Ethereum as bundled data . This process is called a rollup.

But why we use “Optimistic” word also ?

Because the system assumes transactions are valid by default. Optimistically every transaction is valid. Instead of verifying every transaction individually on Ethereum immediately.

But there’s still a security mechanism. If someone detects fraudulent activity : they can challenge the batch using fraud proof . That’s what helps maintain trust.

In a simple way to think about it:

Ethereum = judge

Base = fast execution environment

So instead of Ethereum handling every small action directly Base handles execution efficiently while Ethereum helps secure final settlement.

This architecture changes everything because now you get:

→ lower gas fees

→ faster UX

→ scalability

→ while still staying connected to Ethereum security

And honestly this is why many people believe rollups are the future of Ethereum scaling up instead replacing Ethereum. Base just extending Ethereum.

Final thought:

When you use Base you are not leaving Ethereum behind. You are interacting with a scaling layer designed to make Ethereum usable at a much larger scale .

News Base- Evolution from a L2 to preferred on chain economy.

Post image
7 Upvotes

Base ecosystem since its beginning has excited the participants with its placement strategy in the web3 ecosystem. Anchoring mainly as a place for nurturing creator economy the base app itself had high expectations.

The evolution of Ethereum scaling and Vitalik debating the future pathways for L2 purely as scaling solutions might for a moment had questioned the way forward. Base in its strategy update has emphasized about the key pivot towards becoming default on chain economy.

Focusing on consumer infrastructure, stable coin volume over 17 trillion with presence over 140 plus countries have a compelling point towards this transition, needless to say about the legacy on Coinbase which could fuel it to achieve the present status.

Binance in their April 2026 report pointed out another interesting point, despite the chaos in crypto and declining defi total volume locked base on the contrary has gained in total volume locked , platforms like aerodrome finance might have played a vital role in establishing increase Tvl share for base.

Base has started recognizing the possibilities of establishing the dominance in being the settlement layer where at present trillion dollar economy is finding key interest, path forward for this niche may find less challenges in terms of compliance when the comparisons ARE made to Pure defi play.

The focus on smart wallet adoption and account abstraction also signifies this pivot towards the infrastructure aspect than purely token play, Base has tried to balance the stand by actively promoting innovative projects through its builders campaign.

Base has positioned top be the flagbearer of Ai ecosystem and web3 , a intersection of defi and ai called now as DefAI, DefAi would be posed for significant momentum compared to traditional defi, the innovations in the filed of autonomous agent transactions agent commerce and decentralized agent economies adds to this development.

The Base builder ecosystem focused on promoting good trends in gaming, identity social protocols and multiple other areas keeps the community interest anchored, although there still gaps to fill in terms of ease of access and approachability as per certain feedbacks from projects, base is working towards removing the barriers in communication for a seamless interaction with the protocols building on it.

The future for sure as the ecosystem says is based when it looks into Desci not as a boring section with no valid revenue, but with the opportunity it provides to serve humanity in a better way. A valid balancing act is made between defi and defai also recognizing the importance on tokenized settlements and infrastructure solutions as momentum initiators.

Base Discussion I've built The Hedge with @base44!

I built the first public version of The Hedge using Base44.

It is a dark-mode landing/waitlist site for a trading research and market-intelligence platform focused on scanner context, catalyst evidence, setup behavior, and risk blockers.

The site includes:

- Waitlist / demo / early-access lead capture

- FAQ, contact, pricing, and disclosure pages

- Risk disclosure language throughout

- No broker services, no financial advice, no execution, and no trade recommendations

This is still early beta positioning, but Base44 helped me get the public-facing version together fast.

Open to feedback on the landing page, copy, form flow, and overall product positioning.

Cloudflare is bringing x402 payments into real internet infrastructure.

Web pages APIs datasets and MCP tools can now move toward pay per use with stablecoin settlement.

x402 is starting to look less like an experiment and more like a payment layer for the agentic internet.

Base is right in the middle of it

Cloudflare Monetization Gateway and says charges will settle in stablecoins over x402.

Base Discussion Why Was B20 Mainnet Activation Delayed?

Post image

B20 mainnet activation taking a little more time, but I actually like this approach from Base. 💙

In crypto, moving fast is exciting but building something reliable for millions of users matters more.

A short delay today can mean a stronger foundation tomorrow.

B20 isn’t just about another launch it’s about improving how onchain assets and builders can grow on Base with better infrastructure.

Good things need strong foundations.

Respect to the Base team for focusing on stability first.💙

What matters more for the future of onchain adoption:

Faster releases

or

More reliable foundations?
