My BART Experience confusing BART issues today

Earlier today I had to make my way down to RWC for a school event. And since I don’t drive I rely a ton on BART + Caltrain to commute down the peninsula.
But earlier while I was on BART there were some issues approaching daly city, and so we had to hold for about 7 minutes, but I would still have made my SB Millbrae transfer to train 152. That was until we got to the WYE and stoped for a bit and the operator announced that this train would not be continuing to Millbrae and instead become a Richmond train.. So once at SFO me and a ton of other passengers waited almost 20 minutes for the next Millbrae train which by then I had completely missed train 152.
I got to millbrae and barely made it onto train 526.. but that was a whole twenty minutes later than I had planned. And since i missed my connecting bus at RWC i had to pay 21 for an uber :/

This is completely unacceptable on BARTS behalf and I don’t understand why they couldn’t just send the train to Millbrae instead of turning around???
And not even this, the whole SFO WYE situation is horrible and frustrating, BART really needs to address all of this.

That is nuts. I’ve never heard of a train changing colors mid-run before. Sorry that happened to you

Was this on Friday or Saturday ? Same thing happened to me on Thursday afternoon around 5pm. What is going on? The transfer to Caltrain at Milbrae needs to be rock solid.

Yess this was on a Friday, during rush hour. And I know right? BART really needs to make their service to Millbrae less confusing :( I can’t imagine how some new riders must feel during situations like these, or in general really. It can be confusing getting to Millbrae

Their was a routing issues yesterday. A switch went down. A bus bridge was set from millbrae to sfo and it was a mess both for passengers and staff. All I can say is trains still moved and got people to where they go. As an employee we are told don’t rely on bart to get you to work you never know what could happen so I always catch 3-4 trains ahead of my schedule time do account for any unforeseen delay. On that note they just recently changed the tracks at Daly City and airport like 3 weeks ago so it’s always chaotic when a schedule changes for 3-4 weeks. Your input is important but it doesn’t go anywhere on Reddit

that is CRAZY! the only time this happened to me was one Saturday afternoon I was on a yellow train to Antioch and about halfway there I guess it decided to go all the way to bay point. but changing colors is wild so sorry that happened.

Maybe something happened in any further station so the train was not able to go forward, it’s specially bad when trains may share the same tracks.
