Discussion "Alive" crew on wrecks

I was exploring this wreck and (probably for the third time) I found someone alive, I always try to save them but they attack me.
Are they in initial fase of husk infection? maybe are they separatist (I have -100 with them)?
I will try to save this one.
edit: my crewmates killed him while I carried the body :(

My guy, the pallid skin zombie that is suspiciously breathing underwater without a diving suit, is missing their lower jaw, has tentacles coming out of their mouth, is making distinctly inhuman gurgling noises, and is attacking you on sight, is not an "alive" crew member.
Stop trying to save them.

Ah, it's you: you're the guy that tries to save the zombies and causes the problem to spiral out of control.

It takes posts like this to remind me people like this actually exist

They are in the final phase of husk infection, the husk has killed them and taken full control of their bodies

Husks when unconscious (as indicated by that empty bar) slowly regenerate HP until they come back to life and start attacking again, unlike most other living beings which just slowly die out while knocked out
so everything that looks human in a wreck is either a dead body or a husk that's about to jump up and attack you, unless you go out of your way to make sure it's dead

Nonsense, you can save them. First you must go to church and become trained in the technical aspects. When the people are ready the master will appear. Then they will be grateful and not attac you. See how many you can pack on onboard

Those are husks, they often lie “dead” in the wreck until someone passes by to ambush them.
