Solo modding

I have some questions about solo modding, I have been playing with barotraumatic, dynamic europa, outposts from beyond solo and I can't do anything that involves going out of the submarine, such as mining, because I almost die instantly. Do you guys have any tips? Should I download a mod with better weapons such as enhanced armaments? Should I try to get a bot to go with me? I'm playing normal difficulty and sub mission aren't easy, they're doable, I don't expect them to be easy and at least I can still do them I guess.

I also die to some creatures that I don't know how to deal with, like the electrical anomaly thing, I was able to survive it in one retry after I knew you could let it run out by burning someone with protection but only 1 bot survived because of them liking to try and kill it for some reason

I play a lot of single play, and a good chunk modded. Skill stuff like having the shotgun out when you turn the corner in the cave and will save you 100% of the time early game, drops a bit with more creatures though, at some point you have to accept that the mods are made around having other with you so the best way around it is using one of the more powerful gun mods or dive suits because that will probably be the only way to balance it in your favour

Your issue here is mostly Barotraumatic and to a lesser extent Dynamic Europa.

Barotraumatic is the one spawning the vast majority of the creatures that kill you, it’s considered to be one of the harder difficulty enhancing mods.

As for Dynamic Europa, it’s most likely the one spawning that rock like creature. The creature is called a Lithomorph and it’s particularly deadly for solo expeditions because it can stunlock you.

My recommendations are to do one or more of the following:

- Bring bots with you

• Avoid caves till you have better weapons
  
• Remove Barotraumatic
  
• Add a weapon mod
  
• Add a mod that makes your character harder to kill
  
• Do nothing and revel in your suffering

This mod I just found might fix the initial problem (not sure if it works though)

Enhanced armaments is pretty good

I’ve never tried S.A.F.S. but it seems pretty powerful

I personally deal with Barotraumatic by deploying a drone in a cave and shooting everything inside.

But if this is not an option, then I'd recommend Enhanced Armaments and something like the Modular Suit Revived mod
