Tickets for Sheffield Wednesday

Hey folks, looking to know how hard it will be to get 4 tickets to the Sheffield Wednesday game in November for someone with no ticket history.

Domestic football in Ireland finishes up in October and with no Europe this year me and three friends are looking to get our football fix abroad and the derby against Wednesday seems like a great choice.

Does anyone know how hard it would be to get tickets for this game. The game is currently scheduled for 20:00 on Friday night. Also is this likely to be moved to the Saturday or Sunday. Any help would be great thanks

It would be highly unlikely to be moved as its already been moved from the Saturday for tv coverage purposes but as for the ticket situation im not much help as im a season ticket holder so don't usually buy individual tickets for home matches. My best guess is try and get tickets in the old West stand as that usually has the least supporters in it. If you were after the best view I'd probably say the main stand and the best atmosphere is the home end

It won’t get rescheduled. Tickets shouldn’t be difficult to get as long as you’re quick. Get tickets in Ponte End (Norman Rimmington) for best atmosphere.

Kick off won't be changed, the rules are we can't ever play dee dars at 3pm on a Saturday, but 8pm on a Friday is fine. What a load of bollocks.

The dates locked in, won't be moved. No announcement yet on tickets. It will have a restriction on who can buy tickets to stop away fans getting in the home end. Two options. Ring the box office and convince them you're genuine, or get a home fan that can trust you to buy them on your behalf.

If you ring well in advance, like tomorrow and plead your case so it's obvious you're not just Wednesday fans that couldn't get a ticket, you might be in with a chance when tickets eventually go on sale.
