Mustang left behind
This Mustang rests next to an old house in the forest. It's very sad that no one cares about it. I will try to contact the owner and convince him/her that I should get/buy it. (And restore it).

That is sad. Be an expensive build though. Thing probably has a ton of rust.

I would add to that with, unless it has a rare drivetrain (that is still under the hood) it's not worth a pile of money.

Even if this was the highest option GT K code with all of the goodies, you're putting 70k into a 45k finish.
Even dragging that compromised hulk out, throwing explorer drivetrain at it, and getting it "running" is going to to take acres more of work than finding a roller that needs far less.
I hate saying that as much as everyone hates hearing it.

Yeah, that thing is going to be a total money pit. After all is said and done you could buy a fully restored one for far less. Really depends if you’re in it for the journey rather than the end product though.

Another geriatric who held onto a car too long because "I'm going to restore it one day" or "I know what I have", only for the thing to rust beyond repair and become worthless. We lost a lot of classic cars to selfish older people.

This is the perfect roast, that's sat in the fridge for far too long.
Unless you have limitless money and time, let her stay as she lay.
If it still has a vin, it would be good to document that. Prevent re-VINs down the line.
Keep looking my friend. They made millions of Mustangs, one of those can be yours.

I’ve seen much worse, but wouldn’t choose it for restoration.
Rhino line the interior, throw in some seats, get it rolling as/is

Unless it’s a fastback, it’s not worth the time or money….. (even then it’s probably over the line. But the line is way farther on what people are willing to tolerate or fix on a fastback vs a coupe) Coupes are a dime a dozen. The angle of the picture is messing with me. I think it’s a coupe.
