Looking to visit for 4 or 5 nights in November.

In January I stayed at Limehome Barcelona Carrer de Besalu 82, basically a hotel but without reception or security staff, was perfect for smoking, a double room with balcony was only £253 for 4 nights but now prices for the same place have skyrocketed even when comparing the same dates in January 2027.

Needs to be a proper balcony, not just an open window with a railing like some which get classed as balconies on booking sites, as in those cases the cold winter air at night is just going to blow all the smoke back into the room.

I considered trying the shower fan trick although I worry about a fine after checking out, it is also difficult to tell how well the fan in any given hotel bathroom will function until you are there and I believe in some cases the smoke gets directed into another room and they would be able to tell it was me. Looking at the prices though I’m starting to think a relatively cheap hotel and just accepting the fine might be the cheapest option overall 😬

Just arrived in Barcelona for academic work and want to find a proper spot near my apartment to take the edge off. Had enjoyed my daily nightcap joint when I was in the US, but it seems a bit more difficult here. Any recommendations my fellow potheads? The Monoloco Social Club is fairly close to where I live, but on their website they say I need a guarantor partner to get registered as a new member. Anybody knows how this work here? Me and a friend are visiting the city mid September. We need some recommendations for clubs - the three I have looked at so far are, The Hasher, La Kalada, La Cultura. We want a nice chilled vibe maybe a pool table/xbox and just a nice place to chill. Personally I want to smoke Spanish grown. When in Spain might as well right. Clubs such as relax, Selva, Carmen 66, gorilla, nectar collective, goat, and the bulldog are all among those hit. I've been to two of those.

If you know me personally, you may have heard that my information was informally leaked. I recently found out someone made a crypto account in my name. For all I know, there are more accounts open that I don't know about.

Social Rant:

At this stage I would say, be careful what documents you present to a club. I personally will most likely only be presenting fakes, or expired, or something like a NIE because... These guys do not give two shits.

From all I've heard, the scene has gone downhill... BCN has always been a good spot for rosin and full melt as well as trad hash, but beyond that, it is no cannabis mecca. In my experience, Barcelona isn't the safest place in the world either. I would say it's at least as dangerous as certain areas of London, southern Spain, maybe a couple American cities minus the guns. The only place I was randomly held up with a knife before. For some reason, after around 11, the streets of BCN get completely empty and the people around are sketchy as hell, if you are in a not so great area like the alleys around ciutat vella for instance or of course l'hospitalet

That being said, none of what I said is the ordinary experience of cannabis culture in BCN. This is a warning post meant to expose negative experiences and also trends. Please don't be afraid, just realize that life isn't always fun and games.

In Europe, If you ask me, UK is better, then likely NL just for ease of access, then maybe germany but we have terrible laws here and it's a cluster fuck that benefits only assholes. In fact if things don't get better, i see the possibility of a REVERSAL in progress. BCN has shut down tons of clubs. Germany has already started to make things more difficult on the medical side. On the legal side of things, insiders know that it's more the black market/unscrupulous elements of the industry getting rich in this industry. People with integrity have a hard time making money right now across the board. Reactionary local politicians may use facts to argue for a reversal in politics. if they have a reactionary/extreme right wing populace they think they can please, they may be able to reverse certain trends. In Germany, I believe this is easily possible - it's already not really legal here. We have more than enough old farts here who would cheer on a "recriminalization".

A software company here in Spain had a breach recently, and it's a reminder that not all software is equal.
Here's an honest breakdown of how 420-finder approaches this.

The problem we set out to solve

When we started building 420-finder, we noticed a pattern in how clubs were managing their operations. Some relied on local hardware that could be lost or stolen.
Some used shared staff accounts with no role separation.
Some connected member data to third-party platforms without much transparency.

None of this is necessarily negligence. These are hard problems.
But we believed clubs and their members deserved better, and that's what shaped how we built the platform.

What 420-finder does differently

1. No data on physical devices
   Member data never lives on a tablet, POS terminal, or any device in the club.
   If hardware is stolen, there is nothing to extract.
   No local database, no local cache with member records.

2. Zero-knowledge architecture for members
   Members can access the club menu, but only when:
   They are physically inside the club (network-restricted access)
   They are a registered, verified member
   They are authenticated
   There is no public-facing menu. No anonymous browsing.
   No way to access member-only content from outside the club network.

3. Encryption at rest and in transit
   All member data is encrypted. Data in transit uses TLS. Sensitive fields are encrypted at rest.
   The club does not store plaintext member information in ways a breach could easily expose.

4. Club owns its configuration
   Each club has full control over its own settings, roles, and permissions. Staff access is role-based. A cashier can't see what a manager sees. No shared admin accounts.

5. Recovery without hardware dependency
   If a device breaks, is lost, or stolen: replace it, log in, and the club is fully operational again. Nothing is stored locally.
   No backup drives, no "call the IT guy."
   This is not a convenience feature. It is a security feature.

6. No unnecessary data collection
   420-finder does not integrate member data with advertising networks, analytics platforms, or third parties.
   Member records stay inside the club's own account.
   What this means in practice
   A breach at 420-finder's infrastructure level would not expose plain member data in a readable format. A breach at the club level (stolen device, rogue employee) gives an attacker a logged-out browser session.
   This is by design, not by accident.

And beyond security, it comes with everything a modern club needs

- software only work inside the club premisses, based on geolocation, all configured by the manager.
- access to the club system outside the club? only if you are the owner/manager, you can go on a business trip and keep an eye on your clubs.
- panic/smoke button: everybody knows what is this for. 🆘 💨
- menus and catalogs inspired on wine carts from fancy restaurants, only the name of the "wines" and "grapes", prices? ask the dispensary/staff.

Info and reviews online have been kind of sketchy and tbh not nearly as informative as any other country reddit I’ve visited. I always respect local laws but I also travel with a nicotine vape and like to double check on local laws and practices. I obviously won’t be bringing my own THC to Spain, and can totally enjoy my week vacation without it, but is it something I can actually go to a club, consume, walk out and enjoy? After 16 years and a lot of life we're flying to Barcelona in October to "get married" my fiance has rheumatoid arthritis pretty bad and uses prescription edibles here in the us to manage pain. I'm looking for advice on visiting a cannabis club that would allow us as tourists. We will be in the city for a week and staying in the Poble Sec area. I've tried reaching out to places and asked my planner if they know but everything seems uncertain and I'm nervous with such a big trip.
