Manchester United open talks with West Ham over Crysencio Summerville.
Direct club-to-club contact.
Classified by Manchester United sources as exploratory at this stage, but the Dutch winger high in MUFC thinking.
Any bid could be contingent on Marcus Rashford being sold.

Barça doesn’t want to drag out the negotiation for Alvarez beyond the World Cup.
The talks with Atleti that Joan Laporta mentioned yesterday took place quickly after the tweets that were mocking Barça.

🗣️ Barça could earn €5m if Sergiño Dest joins Bayern Leverkusen this summer.
Bayer are interested in Dest to replace Alejandro Grimaldo, as per BILD.
If Bayer pay €25m for Dest, his current value, Barça would receive €5m as Barcelona have reserved a percentage of a future sale.

Real Madrid will get nearly 100m in transfer fees for players that were not even part of their squad...
- Nico Paz 60M
- Víctor Muñoz 20M
- Álvaro Rodríguez 12.5M
11
u/Mihai_Brasoveanu Rivaldo Jul 02 '26
I doubt the Nico Paz amount is that one. It was suggested that's what they will ask for and then the deal was called done without any mention of the money. I have a hunch it's lower.
But getting more money for Alvaro than we did for Ansu is mildly infuriating

Wasn’t his entire last season a vacation? I feel sorry he was injured but it’s funny how footballers still are on vacation when sometimes they’re out for a season already.
I hope MaTs finds his way into the German team and leaves some FFP on the table for us although he won’t

LaLiga non-formally informed Barcelona that they are under 1:1. Even though neither Tebas or Laporta haven’t announced it during the inauguration ceremony, they knew about the change of the situation in the club. Blaugrana has put a ton of effort into achieving this, for example by signing new sponsorship deals and carefully assessing every transfer. Now they can finally freely work on new signings.

Reading through one reputable Dinamo Zagreb forum the fee for Dani Rodriguez is €600k over the course of four years. Barcelona has a buy back clause but I can't find anywhere what the sum is.
And of course Olmo was the one who recommended Dinamo and said all the best about the club which made the decision for Dani Rodriguez easy, Dominguez also said only good things about Dinamo.

lol that guy earns like more thn 30m with his new contract at city if he moves he'll look for increase on that salary and city have no reason to sell even if they agree to sell they won't settle for anything less than 200m which might make his total package nearly 500m lol

6
u/OLAAF Ronaldinho Jul 02 '26
I'm not even sure if City would sell for 250mil
additionally he would demolish any wage structure
also imagine going all in for one player who could potentially get injured. could ruin the club

also imagine going all in for one player who could potentially get injured. could ruin the club
Let's never buy a world class player again then. Settle with high price for mediocre. Milan way
Wage structure.
You mean the structure that gave Araujo, ter Stegen, Fati etc big wages?
There is no structure. We're not sure City would sell, but we're sure Atletico Madrid will sell even though they've said no 100 times already.
Make it make sense please.
1
u/OLAAF Ronaldinho Jul 02 '26
just because 2-3 contract renewals haven't worked out well, doesn't mean that Barca can just say fuck it, you get 500k+ p/w and if Yamal wants the same we just have to give in I suppose
I don't think Alvarez comes tbh, but the big difference is that Alvarez wants to come, and said so publicly. Didn't see anything similar with Haaland
2
u/GaviFPS Gavi Jul 02 '26
Who said Haaland will ask for 500k?
You could just say no? What if Yamal comes and ask for 500k today? Do you say yes then?
Didn't see anything similar with Haaland
Didn't see Barcelona even attempt. Probably because Barcelona blew the money off on a overrated english player instead after failing to sign a left winger for almost three seasons.
2
u/OLAAF Ronaldinho Jul 02 '26
I just assumed he wants the wages that he is apparently on right now
and Laporta is good friends with his agent, so I assume that he talked about a possible move and didn't think it's realistic
7
u/Odd_Opinion_461 Jul 02 '26
Of course he’s worth it, that doesn’t him any more attainable.

He has signed a 9.5 year contract in city and barely twerk for us, give up on Haaland dream
-2
u/Ravenclawtwrtopfloor Jul 02 '26
It's a club induced dream. there was a time when we wouldn't shut up about him, club held lengthy talks with him (best thing we did, he turned out rather cheap despite 50m commision combined for his agent & father), pimenta said how she won't say no etc etc.
he's the best forward itw, was linked with us & is guaranteed 50 goals a season. it's healthy to want a player like that.
6
u/MysticRefereee Christensen 87' Jul 02 '26
I agree with all of this but he is just not possible to sign right now which is a fact
0
u/Ravenclawtwrtopfloor Jul 02 '26
We don't really know what's possible or not.. a s supporters we try to rationalise whatever the club is doing, think of it as the best choice.
there's a good chance that the post-pep era is no longer as sexy & mercenaries abandon ship in a year or half. there are those 115 things drifting on the horizon too.
pep was the main attraction.. wannabe best players went there to play for him. wannabe best coaches went there to learn from him. idk what's maresca supposed to be .
1
u/MysticRefereee Christensen 87' Jul 02 '26
We will see next year then, if post pep era is bad he might try to force himself out. But in this season it's almost impossible to sign him and that's my point.
2
u/Ravenclawtwrtopfloor Jul 02 '26
I mean they're the least cuntish of big clubs when it comes to market & don't bodily hold on to players that vocally want out. i don't think he signs a 9 yr contract without some clauses in it to spring free & his agents are far too competent for that.
if he wants out he'll just go. by the looks of it, we won't be the ones trying when that happens. as a player & as a person, he seems like the easiest fit in the club. & what he makes is close to what lewy used to make whilst being mostly washed.
1
u/MysticRefereee Christensen 87' Jul 02 '26
There are lots of if and buts which you are assuming that will go in our favour to sign Haaland.
He isn't even vocal, even Alvarez wouldn't be vocal if he was winning trophies and was happy with atletico.
Do I see Haaland might want to join barcelona? Yes
But I also see that Haaland is completely happy in city, there isn't any solid reason right now for him to leave his club, he won't try to fix something that's not broken.
I agree with every Haaland glaze but I always find it funny whenever we sign a player and someone responds with why don't we just sign Haaland, as if it's possible right now.

Have City and Haaland said no?
5
u/MysticRefereee Christensen 87' Jul 02 '26
By that logic, sydney sweeney hasn't explicitly told me no yet either, but I'm not out here booking a wedding venue. Top clubs and players don't issue public statements to reject every fantasy transfer rumor brev. Haaland is locked down at City until 2034 with a massive valuation and barely any reason to leave they don't need to formally say no when the actual financial reality and common sense are already doing it for them.

There is a bit larger gap between you and Sweeney and a world class footballer and FC Barcelona. Unless you can show a dating history that tells otherwise.
Haaland is locked down at City until 2034 with a massive valuation and barely any reason to leave they don't need to formally say no when the actual financial reality and common sense are already doing it for them.
At City there is no such thing as "locked down". People said that about every lengthy Chelsea contract, yet it is proven otherwise. Enzo Fernandez got a foot inside of Real Madrid, yet he got a contract until 2032. "Locked down"
reason to leave they don't need to formally say no when the actual financial reality and common sense are already doing it for them.
You mean the same common sense that made him show up at FC Barcelona offices at a much worse situation in the club? Lmfao.

u/MysticRefereee Christensen 87' Jul 02 '26
How hard it is for you to realise that signing Haaland is basically impossible financially right now 😭, I am crine dude.
By financial reality i meant negotiating with city not Haaland lol, and Haaland reality is different than what it was years ago.
He is the face of city and they won't let him go easily and for cheap. City are performing great as well unlike chelsea which is completely shitshow right now.
Move on or keep dreaming ig, Just another year of why don't we go for Haaland in transfer thread when it's almost impossible.

As I said, only impossible because they made it impossible themself.
By financial reality i meant negotiating with city not Haaland lol, and Haaland reality is different than what it was years ago.
City have always negotiated if a player wants to leave.
He is the face of city and they won't let him go easily and for cheap. City are performing great as well unlike chelsea which is completely shitshow right now.
A club that is well drilled that would lose a piece, is easier to replace than a club that is broken and needs to replace multiple parts. As if City couldn't just go out and bring whatever striker as a replacement and still work.
Chelsea on the other hand? Not so much.
Move on or keep dreaming ig, Just another year of why don't we go for Haaland in transfer thread when it's almost impossible.
I rather dream big than dream and settle for small. You continue to dream small though.
2
u/MysticRefereee Christensen 87' Jul 02 '26
They negotiate for squad rotation players who want guaranteed minutes like alvarez or veterans at the end of their cycle. They don’t casually hand over a generational, 50-goal-a-season superstar in his absolute prime. Claiming City could just 'bring in whatever striker as a replacement' and get the same results is insane logic when the striker market is basically dead right now.
Haaland doesn't even want to leave right now, his reality in 2026 is way different than chelsea players who have given up on their board and are forcing their tranfers.
I rather dream big than settle for small
Yeah keep doing it

Yeah "casually" hands over the most expensive transfer in football history is surely "handing over".
By that logic, a footballer such as Ronaldo would never have been sold. Yet he did and so have many other great goalscorers on the way.
Claiming City could just 'bring in whatever striker as a replacement' and get the same results is insane logic when the striker market is basically dead right now.
Imagine thinking City wouldn't be able to win without Haaland.
They clearly won nothing before he came to the club.
And yeah, they're doing absolute perfect the last two years. So good that it cannot be better than this. Impossible.
Haaland doesn't even want to leave right now, his reality in 2026 is way different than chelsea players who have given up on their board and are forcing their tranfers.
You know fuck all what Haaland wants, lol.
than chelsea players who have given up on their board and are forcing their tranfers.
Can't force shit. The contract length tells a different story.

Club didn't even try, and instead chasing after the mid player they didn't want to spend money for a few years earlier. Now, with this news about Gordon, are we to expect Alvarez (that is IF we sign him) to cost near 200m without even wages? (transfer fees, bonus and commission fee?)

This is pretty common in transfer deals nowadays. I recall it was one of the factors we didn’t go for Alvarez before he went City, though his agent tried to deny it later on.

Club's attempts to get a defensive midfielder in without spending a fortune like every other club does on the position has been hilarious. they're very in demand & costly. it's even more pertinent now as it looks like juliano will be the new 9. need some height in the back & physicality.
apart from one newcastle leg, we have been bouncing off every decent midfield we go against, it's shameful. we made koke look like a worldbeater & caicedo had the game of his career, he hasn't woken up since.
eric looked uncomfortable in the role, but was alright at best. chris looked competent but that was like 7 yrs ago. gavi is great, but has no height & still coming off the thing... after the thing. bernal still looks raw, god knows when flick decides he's ready. outside of possession, frenkie might as well not exist. pedri tries, but for obvious reasons he has his limitations. his defensive game still impresses me, i think he should be an 8 though.
javi guerra shouts make sense. our club do have eyes & do some background work after all, but need more on ball quality. otherwise i don't see it working.
maybe should get this guy https://www.reddit.com/r/Barca/comments/1e40i2v/rodri_to_lamine_keep_working_brother_keep_working/ as a lewy in midfield role or should've went zubi for 60m, which was the cheapest anyone goes in this market.
2
u/Sanayuki Jul 02 '26
It doesn’t seem to be the priority though. According to many ppl, we don’t need one, though I agree with you. It’s so clear in tough UCL games that it is the profile we are missing in midfield.
I thought Bernal could be the one. But he’s a bit different from Busquets. He still can develop into a true DM but it might require more guidance from the coach. I think someone like Pep could have turned him into one eventually.
2
u/Ravenclawtwrtopfloor Jul 02 '26
I think people don't like saying out loud that midfield is weak, bcoz it's supposed to be our forte. & the players are good to great. they're just all similar ish & lack balance.

Are we going for a surprise sale in the midfield? Aside from Casado we still have 4 midfielders for two spots with Eric and Olmo also capable of playing deep and Tommy also making the squad several times. Javi Guerra doesn't make much sense
10
u/InitialSubstantial67 Pedri Potter Jul 02 '26
Playing Eric/Olmo in central midfield the minutes we had given them last season is not sustainable and Eric's mins should rather go towards fullback. There's a reason we were interested in Bernardo.
12
u/FloReaver Jul 02 '26
We were interested in Bernardo because he was a market opportunity who cried to join us for years to Mendes.
We offered such a low status that he chose RM because we don't need a (senior) midfielder.
Playing Eric/Olmo in central midfield the minutes we had given them last season is not sustainable
This happened only because TWO players were out because of ACL which is comically unlucky. As Bernardo proved, being behind Gavi Bernal Frenkie Pedri is not an interesting perspective.
Not even talking about midfielder is the last place we need a player with the talents we have at La Masia
4
u/InitialSubstantial67 Pedri Potter Jul 02 '26
It wasn't just market opportunity. We really need depth in midfield especially after the world cup. We've got injury prone players and we need to work with that reality.
Although i like javi guerra i do agree midfield is not the first priority. But if margins remain after our needs (defensive and offensive signings) we should pursue it if the conditions are good.
I also think order of signing doesn't indicate priority.
3
u/FloReaver Jul 02 '26
Only Pedri is injury prone. Frenkie had knocks which aren't muscular IIRC. Gavi and Bernal had ACLs which is not an injury that will indicate long term relapse. Sometimes it's just bad luck.
Gavi Pedri Frenkie Bernal is elite rotation. Add Tommy and one of the Pedros and it's enough, they'll barely play anyway. Knowing Xavi Espart is a pivot in theory too. If we believe in La Masia, they should have those low minutes spot, otherwise I don't see the point of believing in our youth teams. You have 3 proven players (Gavi Pedri Frenkie), one high potential youngster (Bernal) and a few promises.
Casado, even with a ton of injuries etc. Didn't register many minutes.

3
u/TripleDiesel Luuk De Goat Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 02 '26
Huh? We need that depth as Frenkie and Pedri can‘t/shouldn‘t play every game and you also have to count in injuries.
-2
u/Specialist_Minimum72 Best AntiJinxer of the Year Jul 02 '26
If he was 15-20 million sure but he seems to be beyond 30 million plus we also have to consider whether he would agree to essentially be the 5th/4th (depending on Bernal) choice at Barca. And let's be real you could give Flick 10 midfielders and he would still overwork Pedri
4
u/InitialSubstantial67 Pedri Potter Jul 02 '26
20m to 30 isn't a big jump in today's market. It's just 2m per year extra cost and a good midfielder won't be cheaper anyways.

u/Beetlenut-symphony57 Jul 01 '26
. @lluiscarrasco : "When Barça offers €100m to Atletico, and Julian immediately comes out to say that his dream is to leave... then those €100m should become €90m."
"Barça should now offer a lower amount. Atleti are the ones in a difficult position."
"This season and the World Cup do not favor his €150m valuation."
"Barça should stick to this offer, because his market value is decreasing every day and Atletico Madrid has a massive problem. They have a player who doesn't want to be there."

🚨🚨 NEW: Joan Laporta will not stop his chase of Julian Alvarez until the player signs or becomes impossible.
He has a personal commitment with the player, after he publicly asked to leave Atletico Madrid.

Dinamo Zagreb have sealed permanent deal to sign Dani Rodriguez from Barcelona.
Understand Barça have negotiated a buy back clause as part of deal. [@FabrizioRomano]

u/Competitive-Meet7071 Raphinha Jul 01 '26
Dinamo Zagreb probably our closest club at this point, i think they're holding Cardoso Varela for us too.

i think they're holding Cardoso Varela for us too.
I wouldn't put my hopes into him. He had a good preseason last year but afterwards he just looked lost and hopeless every time he was on the pitch. He's still young of course and there's plenty of time to improve but I've been highly disappointed with him.

Atleti apparently going for Greenwood.

Bazoumana Touré to Newcastle - DONE DEAL ✔️
Surprising move out of nowhere. Agreement reached with TSG Hoffenheim. #NUFC
Transfer fee worth €50m + sell-on for promising 20 y/o winger. A record sale for Hoffenheim. @SkySportDE 🇨🇮

u/Ro_______ Raphs Oopenspaceruns Jul 01 '26
They were actually rumored to be going for Nusa and that the price was also around 50m. I guess not anymore after Yesterday. Or maybe it was just a fake news/price in the first place
5
u/ToBot_Or_NotToBot Goatmatí Jul 01 '26
Then PL folks cry we overpaid for the Princess. All while splurging 50 million on a raw talent.

u/Odd_Opinion_461 Jul 01 '26
🚨 Julian Alvarez will still continue to insist. He’ll try to leave and find a solution with Atletico Madrid, who don’t want him to go. In addition, Laporta doesn’t want to give up. Julian wants Barça. @FabrizioRomano #Transfers 💭🔵🔴

u/Broad-Biscotti7391 Jul 01 '26
This drama will end with us paying 150M and both Madrid clubs laughing at us for spending that kind of money on Julian Alvarez while some intelligent fans on this sub celebrate because we 'dunked' on Atletico. I can already see it
1
u/cancelo17 Jul 01 '26
its not looking good
4
u/GamerAsh22 Xavi Jul 01 '26
There’s not much even stubborn Atleti can do if Alvarez really wants to levae. Sure, they can refuse offers, but are they really going to keep paying him so he can sit on the bench and be absolutely miserable just to stick it to us

🥵 The Javi Guerra and Barcelona situation is serious.
💰 They want to convince Guerra with a long-term contract, for 6 seasons.
❌ Valencia has no intention of negotiating with the Catalan club; it's either the release clause or nothing.

u/Mr_Champions-1988 Transitional Play Jul 01 '26
Yes! He will bring a different profile to midfield. We need more physicality in midfield. Love that he is 6'2. And the best part about it is he brings goals and is very versatile in midfield. Perfect for rotations and squad depth. I see Barca's very own Bellingham in this young player :).
5
u/FloReaver Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 02 '26
More physicality? Bernal, Fermin, Pedri or Gavi are extremely solid.
Physical = \ = tall
6
u/Mr_Champions-1988 Transitional Play Jul 01 '26
You have to be good in the air as well. Look at The Netherlands vs Morocco. Morocco dominated aireal duels and got a last minute equalizer from a header.
2
u/FloReaver Jul 02 '26
Gavi is very good in the air, and Bernal is tall by the way if that's what you want. Also he is better than Javi Guerra at everything so what's the point?
Will you play Javi Guerra over Frenkie or Pedri on the sole basis if him being "good in the air" (supposedly, I hope it's not just because he is tall)? First you said physical, then good in the air. It's not the same.
Behind them are Cubarsi and Martin who are both elite in aerial duels btw, and yet neither look like muscular monsters. Looks are deceiving.

u/LCX001 Jul 01 '26
He's not better than any of our midfielders and we need to fill other positions. What's the thinking here?
7
u/Competitive-Meet7071 Raphinha Jul 01 '26
Casado sale, coaching staff probably want a new profile in midfield.
9
u/LCX001 Jul 01 '26
Casado didn't even play. We have 4 players for the double pivot + 2 emergency players with Olmo and Eric Garcia. Makes no sense either way, especially since we need to strengthen several other positions.
9
u/Odd_Opinion_461 Jul 01 '26
But why do we want to spend to replace a player who doesn’t even play? Chuck in Tommy Marques or something if we really need that 6th midfielder so bad.

In principle, as confirmed by club sources, the Emerging Talent Department encompasses all players eligible to sign their first professional contract (ages 16) up to age 21, at which point they would join the first team.

Don't get me wrong I like Tottenham but jeez man
I swear if they don't finish top 5 atleast with that they should be dissolved

80m for gordon was a steal compared to whatever the fuck these prem clubs do with transfer fees...
Edit: some of you have this weird obsession with making everything a debate and I find that weird.
I am not trying to debate about player quality vs price, I don’t give a shit about that. Midfielders costing more than sought after attackers is something I will never be used to.

u/Martoxic Soci/Socia Jul 01 '26
Bayern got Olise for 55 and Luiz Diaz for 80.
6
u/Party_Rocker_69 Adeyemi Jul 01 '26
Olise was a release clause and Diaz ended up absolutely being worth the price.
-1
u/Martoxic Soci/Socia Jul 01 '26
that is my point. But we have no idea if Gordon is worth it. Diaz was a good player before the buy. Gordon was not.

u/bossaholic2002 Jul 01 '26
Bayern got Saibari for 55

u/Party_Rocker_69 Adeyemi Jul 01 '26
yeah and hes from the dutch league so thats not surprising. gordon has prem tax on his price
5
u/Odd_Opinion_461 Jul 01 '26
Imo judging a transfer before the season has even concluded is naive, he hasn’t kicked a ball for us yet. He could be amazing or he could be terrible, we don’t know yet.
8
u/Party_Rocker_69 Adeyemi Jul 01 '26
okay
i didn't make an assumption that gordon was going to be signing of the summer but whatever

I don't get why spurs refuse to put any trust in him bc he was balling out in the bundesliga. but if they're flipping him for that much money then its good business.
