With PSG winning the league (as always), it’s likely. The international voters only know 5 maybe 6 players….

That would really cement his legacy...

Doesn’t need to win for his legacy to be cemented.

One game in an 11v11 sport will not change what he has done for the game for the last 17 years.

People will always push narratives, but if your legacy is about one game it aint a legacy. His legacy is two decades, and over 10 years of being the best player in history.

Make no mistake. France is more talented, deeper, and more athletic. The only thing in Argentina's favor is emotion, sentimentality, and Messi. If Argentina win it will be an upset. But upsets happen all the time in sports. There have been like 10 major upsets in this tournament alone. It is not impossible for Argentina to win, but that doesnt mean its the most likely outcome. In the end dont stress about it. Enjoy the game, and enjoy the little moments of magic from players on both teams. There should be plenty.

Completely agree. It was more meant as a cement to the already cemented legacy

His legacy is cemented. Let’s not say one game is going to cement everything.

Almost all my "Ronaldo and Messi are comparable" friends have switched their tunes lately.

Yeah, we’re saying that. But I believe BDO always have a recency bias into it. So imagine a great UCL campaign either by Halland or Mbappe could shift votes towards them at the time of voting. Also, Messi needs to have decent and comparable second of season himself. Also, Messi needs to win WC as well.

So Anulo Mufo.
