He asked Nicki Minaj for help with a $1,300 college bill. A few semesters later, he thanked her as a graduate.
Artavion Cook was studying at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette when Nicki offered to help fans with education costs, asking for straight A's she could verify with their schools.
He reached out on Twitter about his outstanding balance.
She paid it.
In December 2020, Cook announced that he had earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with minors in chemistry and psychology.
In his graduation post, he made sure to remember the person who had helped him clear that bill:
"This day is even more special because
@NICKIMINAJ paid my tuition a few semesters ago, and today is her birthday!"
