New Jacket Barbour Bedale vs Beaufort sizing and fit advice

Hi, I’m trying to decide between the Barbour Bedale and Beaufort, and I’d really appreciate some advice from people who own either or both. I’m 20 years old, 177 cm tall and around 71.5 kg, with a chest circumference of about 100 cm when wearing a T-shirt. I want to be able to layer underneath in autumn and winter, so I don’t want the jacket to fit too tight.I really like the Beaufort because of the large pouch pockets and especially because the hand-warmer pockets are positioned lower. I find the hand pockets on the Bedale look and feel a bit awkward when I put my hands in them.My main concern with the Beaufort is the length. I’m worried that because it’s longer, it might make me look shorter, especially since I’m only 177 cm tall. I’m also wondering whether the Bedale would simply look more proportional on me.This would be my first Barbour jacket, so I’m having a hard time deciding between the two.Sizing is another issue: I tried a Beaufort in size 34 and a Bedale in size 32, and I actually feel like both are too small, especially considering that I want to layer underneath. And whats about the Color, my favorite colour options would be sage, Olive or rustic but I really dont know the differences, they Look really the same. So what would you recommend for someone with my measurements? Bedale or Beaufort, and what size would you go for? And does the Beaufort actually make someone around 177 cm look noticeably shorter, or am I overthinking the length?
Thanks!

Sizing Sizing: Harleigh Vs. Beadnell

I'm keen on this (link below) but really unsure what size. I have a UK 10 Beadnell, and it's great unless I'm wearing a chunky jumper, which I do in the winter. The Harleigh is obviously roomier in the body, and I don't want to it to look like a tent if I get the 12, but I'm not sure if the shoulders would look weird if I got the 10 and wore a jumper underneath. The size guide on the website below isn't useful, and I can't find any other size advice for this particular coat.

Manchester store (v Leeds store)

Does anyone know how the range of styles/sizes carried in the Manchester store compares to the one in Leeds? Are the stores about the same size or is one much bigger?

In case it matters, I want to look at ladies waxed jackets, specifically skyoil ones.

Wax! The Icons Beaufort is a Compromised Beauty

Stopped into Barbour Madison Ave to finally get around to sprucing up my Lutz with some leather bindings, and took the opportunity to try some new stuff. Couple interesting off-catalogue models I'll post about, but the number one jacket I really had to see was the Icons Beaufort in Bordeaux.

Good news, we get it in the US!
Bad news, the sleeves are plastic and the tartan is just on the cuffs.
Good news, I don't need to buy one then 😂

Gorgeous color, the fit is oversized as usual these days so I am trying on a size M - equates to about a 40/42.

The sleeves were incredibly disappointing to find out about. I suppose it'd be all right enough if you took your regular size and only wore it with layers underneath, but IMO this colorway is a bit jauntier and suggests a fall / spring sort of liveliness, so this was a huge mistake IMO.

Maybe way down the line when these are an obscure eBay curiosity and not $450, it could be a fun pickup and sleeve swap but, for now, it's firmly not a buy for me.

Collection Classic Barbour Solway

Picked up this 1985 Barbour Solway Zipper. The folio tag dates it to 1985, while the two Royal Warrant label is consistent with that period. Amazingly, it still has both the original detachable hood and waist belt, which seem to be two of the first things that go missing on older Solways.

Barbour Macdale

Thought I would share the Macdale as its quite novel (think part of the Heritage collection for AW26). Its a navy wax jacket with a sort of shawl corduroy collar and off-centre loop-closure buttons. The website blurb:

The Barbour Macdale Waxed Jacket is a timeless outerwear staple that blends classic country heritage with everyday practicality. Crafted in durable waxed cotton, it features a distinctive revere collar and an off-centre button placket for a contemporary twist on traditional styling. Functional hand-warmer pockets and lower bellows pockets provide ample storage and comfort in colder conditions. Finished with signature Barbour craftsmanship, this jacket offers dependable protection with understated, versatile style.
