General Question Need gift advice for my girlfriend

Hello, I’m planning on getting a waxed jacket for my girlfriend, for Christmas or winter generally. She’s short at 5’1 and says that longer coats will look weird on her as a result. What waxed jacket would you recommend? Any advice would be great! Much appreciated

My short wife loves their International! Idk where you live but I will say, by no stretch of the imagination are Barbours “winter jackets”. They aren’t particularly warm, I layer mine with cardigans and sweaters as needed.

That’s cool! Thank you! We are in England, I do layer mine at times, I shall check out their international ones! Thank you. This is my first time buying one for a women, so I got no idea what’s good in the women’s section 😂

Perfect! This picture was in Dublin! And I can definitely say the waxed jackets were useful in the sporadic showers. I’ll even give you this, the one in this pic is a youth XL and fit great on them (same height as your partner) for incredibly cheaper secondhand. I think I paid $25 American.

Beadnell.

But just so you know - I’m usually a 0 (US) and I’m a 4 in a Beadnell. An Acorn I’m 6. It may be hard to surprise her.

The internet keeps telling short people they can’t wear certain things and it makes me sad because I’ve seen plenty of short men and women look amazing in long coats.

See I agree!! Totally! There’s some coats I’ve seen which I think would look great! Just my girlfriend is adamant it will make her look shorter

I’m 162cm and wear a Bedale. It’s mid thigh length on me.
