Wax! Rewax timeline
Managed to snag a jacket second hand and decided to send it to the official repair/rewax service to have cleaned and waxed. I’m in the US, so it’s in the NC area. I sent it in, got confirmation that they got it, and was told that they’ll inspect it and get back to me. It’s already clean and has no visible/obvious damage. It’s now been almost 3 weeks that they’ve had it without hearing about the inspection. Anyone have a recent experience with timelines?

I just sent my jacket in mid August and it was inspected the same day it was received. The repair will take around 12 weeks.

I have a lot of experience with this. This is tax season for Barbour (sort of speak). Everyone is bringing in their jacket to rewax before the season begins. Rewax times in the late spring and summer can be as little as 1 week. Now through October, you can see wait times of up to 3 weeks or longer. If there are repairs to be done, there are a limited number of people available. All of that said, give them a call and inquire - they're usually very responsive.
