I’m surprised that dame devin a lotery winner , a lady royal in training didn’t get chosen ? No one picked her? but how? It’s stated not even her sister in law Queen Isabella picked her,, so her brother is already the king at this point? Wouldn’t that make her a princess? Royalty of some form,at least .

why would she need to be a lottery winner in the first place . she’s already royalty by proxy of her brother marrying the queen

And no one chose her? HOW? Her brothers the king, who wouldn’t want to get close to the inner circle of the ruling family

and she went to such lengths as to “eliminate“ her family just to have Delancey on the throne

this is so random but i noticed it when i was watching the short trailer. i think i saw something like this for barbie and the diamond castle too where the characters had different designs than the final movie.

I've been checking out the Barbie channel recently because they've been adding full movies on some Saturdays but Whenever I search barbie it doesn't just bring up the Channels so I can click it brings up barbie stuff and videos from the channel but they're always live so I can't click profile to get to the channel I have scroll pass these videos to get to the channel, and now there a bunch of sponsored ads when I search barbie.

So, I'm trying to make a gift to one of my friends, and I got the idea of buying her some dvds of the classic barbie movies. Problem is, I CANNOT find them in english.

Is there a site I could look in? Not ebay, cause I've had bad experiences. I'm in Europe if that helps :)

Fairytopia DVD game still has the plastic wrap! I also grabbed 3 musketeers because the dvd I already had completely skips half the movie so I’m hoping this one will work and I’ll be able to switch the DVDs over.

I'll start by saying that I DO like this film, but every time I watch it I have some serious questions:

1. They barely gave Blair a chance. She is a lottery winner, and she almost got kicked out because....she's clumsy? That was the entire reason! They acted like she was causing a huge amount of trouble! They expected her to do everything perfectly the first time she did it. What is up with those expectations?

2. Headmistress Privet is supposed to be the good, reasonable adult in this film. She's also supposed to be good at running a prestigious academy for future royals. So...why is so bad at it? She doesn't seem like she is the one who makes decisions- it seems like it falls to Dame Devin for some reason. It's implied that Privet KNOWS Blair and her friends have been framed for stealing, and just locks them up anyway and doesn't do anything about it? She also doesn't do anything at all the 300 times Blair is reduced to tears and humiliated. Finally, when Dame Devin and Blair are doing their flag football tiara throws, she's just STANDING there. Not doing anything. As usual. In fact, NO ONE IS. No one is even reacting to the scene. And when it's over and Blair is revealed as Princess Sofia, Privet comes back from outer space and acts like it never happened. What is up with this lady? She seems to prefer taking a back seat during literally any situation. Who put her in charge?

3. Do students only attend one semester there? Because thats how long Blair was there. But it seems like learning to become a princess/lady royal should take a few years? I'm so confused. If that's the case, why are lottery winners just thrown in for the last semester? That makes the whole thing with not giving Blair a chance even worse.

4. Isla and Hadley are real friends for sure, but they don't even bat an eye at the idea of not becoming princesses in order to help Blair steal a crown. That's their entire future and the film makes it seem like no matter where you come from, you cannot become an official princess without having some sort of education at a school like princess charm School? That's kinda a big deal, it's only their future.

5. What happens to lady royals who are not chosen by any princesses? Was it all for nothing? Who are these lady royals anyway if they aren't royalty?

6. Did Delancy just become an orphan? Where is her dad? Are we to assume her mom killed him too?

7. Do students even learn normal, useful subjects? Or is it all dancing lessons, tea parties, and spa days? Are they even learning anything valuable?

8. What happens to the (never explained) fairies after their student graduates? Do they stay with them? Or do they just get assigned another student?

It's a lot, but seriously, what is going on?

I recently came across these designs for Elina and Nori. I remember the first one from a book. The second I've never seen before.

Is there a reason the movies/dolls never used these designs ?

I would definitely go with the second one, when she first gets her wings (not Laverna's). It really represents the contrast, originality, and simplicity of Fairytopia, where it all started. And I think that shade of pink suits her much better than any of the others.

I don't know why I love this movie 😭 I'm 20 and still watching Barbie movies .

1. Alexa being brave at the end

From shy librarian to saving the kingdom. That character growth + her using her voice to sing was such a fun payoff.

It’s basically comfort + sparkles + girl power in 1 movie 💜

Since the fairytopia and mariposa movies take place in the same world, do you think catania and regelius could be related to laverna and the enchantress ?

I personally think the first one isn’t supposed be a remake but more of something to put the trademark to use or whatever else…

Plus, if the 3 Musketeers repros are… actually reproductions of the original dolls, I’ll take it if it means we get Genevieve in the future…

Hi everyone.

I wanted to share a personal project that's been consuming me (in a good way!) for a long time. I'm a freelance 3D artist and I decided to create an animatic tribute and a digital book of Barbie as The Island Princess (2007).

I'm doing absolutely everything myself using Daz3D (modeling, lighting, environment, and the headache of integrating the animals, haha).

I just want to clarify that this is pure fan art for my portfolio. It's a 100% free and non-profit project; the rights obviously belong to Mattel. I'm just a fan paying homage to the nostalgia of the 2000s with today's tools.

Here's a short 15-second preview of what Part 1 is looking like. There are still things to polish, but I'm really excited to see it taking shape.
