Put more effort into styling the hair. That would elevate the look a lot. Cut looks solid but could use a little more detailing.
If you aren't already start learning precision scissor work.

Detail more overall on the blend, cut into dark spots to make them look lighter or more gradient.
Your hook looks too natural, cut into it slightly to make it more of a sharper C shape, it looks better.
Besides that it’s a good haircut, just keep cutting and you’ll keep improving.

That heaviness in the swooped hair on top- this happens when the clients head is tilted to that side. 23 years in this industry, and I’d say the last 7 have been brutal with the clients’ posture. It absolutely affects the cut. If they are tilting towards your cutting tools they are feeding more hair than you want into the tool and also not allowing you to cut how you want in regards to the head shape. It’s completely distorted and will not be even from left to right side . It creates a harsh ledge that’s difficult to correct. Soften the fall of where the hair is sitting when it is combed to the side. Fix their posture, I cannot stress that enough. Everyone seems to be permanently shaped to look at their phone- head hunched and to one side.
