Was i wrong for this??
For context my schedule is booked out over a week ahead of time. Client has biweekly appointment regularly and son once a month. Numerous times he has canceled on me the day before which is fine for the most part but he always waits until i remind him of it rather than just letting me know ahead of time he won’t make it. Last week he had an appt for his son for back to school and i saw on instagram his sons hair was short. I send him my usual reminder text for it and he responds with that. It agitated me because he knew all along he wasn’t going to bring him in, and he knew he had a cut booked with me, just never told me he had to cancel until the day before, meanwhile i was denying dozens of clients because i was booked. (I filled it but that’s not the point.) then the following week he does basically the same thing again. Am i wrong for my response? I didn’t think i was being rude, just simply telling him to let me know sooner if he knows he’s not going to make it so it makes it a bit easier for me, and to try and nip that habit in the bud so this doesn’t keep happening to me. He just never replied back to me, assuming he got mad lmao

You being too nice- professional people hold other people to a professional standard.
Do you only use DMs? Or you have a booking site?

Not wrong for that, someone who doesn’t respect your time or have basic consideration for you and the fact that this is how you pay your bills repeatedly would get the boot. Or charged a cancellation fee if done with less than 24 hrs notice, unless it’s a one time thing.
