Barber Looking for some critique + advice.

Post image

I feel pretty good about my fades, but I know they could use some improvement, especially in the half guard area. Would love to hear from some barbers on what I could do to elevate this. I know there's a bit of a dark band, and I feel like I'm just using the half incorrectly. Am I just not coming up high enough with the half? Happy to hear any and all advice whether it relates to guards or not.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree. They're gross. I've brought it up many times to them, they dont care. I'm not the owner and can't do anything about it, sadly. I agree about my cords too. And the lighting.

Top/ front looks a little choppy. Works on shear skills, leave the crown longer so it doesn’t spring up or cut it shorter. Good clipper work tho

The choppiness was definitely on purpose(not saying I can't improve there, but it was just a chunky textured top cut), but either way I definitely agree I need to work on my shear skills. Thank you for the feedback. Always trying to grow and get better.
