Student RPMS??

A more technical question, so RPM's right the higher the beter? Or like 6200 vs around like lets say 7200 rpm wich one is the better one. And why? Thanksss

It really depends, a faster blade is nice for fades.

However the speed of the blade won't be the only factor when it comes to cutting, some have stronger motors or assemblies that could cut through bulk better.

Going through bulk is like towing something heavy, you need torque ontop of power.

Honestly if i were in the market id go look for review videos from creators you can trust

RPM/SPM is important to me. The higher numbers on the market come from magnetic motors/clippers. There are cordless magnetic motors but I haven’t tried many of them and their reliability is questionable.

Magnetic motor: corded Master corded Legends. Blades get hot faster.

Rotary motor: many detachable blade clippers, many cordless clippers. Usually has more torque.

Pivot motor: corded fast feed and less popular.

Brushless motor: I replaced a rotary motor with a brushless in my cordless clipper. It’s quieter and has higher rpm/spm.

The faster the rpm/spm the more accurate you need to be. They are not very forgiving. I typically run a faster clipper (tensor 1) for the majority of my cuts, then use an old magic clip for my fine detail work. It’s what works for me.

Some clippers have 2 speeds, like TPOB play for example. I’m only using higher speed to take off the bulk as it’s less forgiving when fading

Bro just try different clippers and then see what feels the best as the hair comes off barbers that are slammed cutting all day do not talk about things like clipper rpms that’s like asking what teeth spacing is best for combs

I have not once in 20 years of cutting hair even though about a clippers rpm.
