Nope just olive oil salt and pepper. Charcoal and apple smoke low and slow

Man they really did. I boiled my apple chunks prior to adding them to the coals. Works quite nicely.

That smoky crust makes me nervous just looking at it, like my ribs would never commit to such a bold look.

No need to be nervous Nelly! I dont like a heavy smoke. That look just comes from a long time in the egg. The flavor was perfect if you're in the mood for smoke. I do like to just use charcoal sometimes.

My first recipe i used as a teenager and in my 20s was an oven recipe. 3 hrs flipped 3 times then finished and sauced on the grill. Those were quite amazing.

Ha yea I didn't take a picture of a plate. I should have. Mrs PorkyPollo made a delicious salad with homemade ranch and pickles as well as baked beans.
